Wines of Champagne and Alsace Tour
|
This combination tour is comprised of the one day tour of the Wines of Champagne and the two day tour of the Wines of Alsace.
The itineraries of those two tours is identical here (see the texts in the one day and two day tour menus), except: in Champagne we also visit the village of Bouzy, where we visit a producer of the famous still red champenois wine.
The Champagne tour ends there and we depart on a 3 hour drive to Marlenheim, where we initiate the Alsatian wine tour by dining and spending the night at the Cerf hotel/restaurant which, with its two Michelin stars, is renowned throughout France for its inventive mastery of Alsatian cuisine.
The next morning we depart down the route du vins on an itinerary identical to that of the two day tour, except that we will stop at two additional producers of Alsace Grand Cru wines and stop for lunch at Riquewihr and for the night in Colmar.
The next day we will visit four outstanding producers of wine on the way to Guebwiller, dining at Rouffach on the way. We drive back to Paris from Rouffach, a four hour drive.
