Greetings! Our amazing trip to France seems like just yesterday.* It is a highlight out of all of our travel experiences. I’m reliving it right now as I’m putting photo books together for all and am hoping you will share the name and location of the inn that your friend and husband ran in Normandy [Auberge du Terroir in Servon, Manche, run by Annie and Thierry Lefort]. I remember it as having an amazing setting and the best pommes frites for the kids–and me too. I’ve attached a picture just in case.
Best to you and your family!

My sincere apologies for taking so very long to send you this note…. Nonetheless, I did want to thank you for helping me provide a wonderful trip for my granddaughters, Victoria and Samantha. We had a wonderful time!

So thank you again for all you did. I have another granddaughter to bring in 2011…. I will be in touch to plan that one. I did enjoy the time in London and especially in Windsor, but Paris will always be first in my heart.
My best wishes for your continued success!

We write to thank you so much for the superb tours which we took with you during our stay in Paris between 13 September and 20 September 2009.
The four days we spent with you flew by and left us wishing we had more time to spend with you enjoying your beautiful city. The Paris Overview Tour, tours of Giverny and Versailles, tours of the Louvre, Musee Rodin, Musee Orsay and Invalides were beautifully designed by you and provided us with a wealth of information and a level of understanding and appreciation of Paris which would have been impossible for us to achieve on our own in such a short period of time. We really appreciated the professionalism of your tours, and your ability to individually tailor those tours to our tastes, interests and pace.
Thanks to your superb tours, our recent visit to Paris was truly remarkable.
We were impressed by the incredible depth and breadth of your knowledge regarding all facets of each of our tours with you (including your in-depth knowledge of history, architecture, and art, as well as your selection of restaurants at which we stopped during our tours).
Additionally, we were particularly impressed by how hard you work to engage in intensive study and effort to update and expand your considerable knowledge. Indeed, we were delighted that you personally conducted our tours and imparted your knowledge to us so effectively, comprehensively, with charm, wit and humor.
In addition to enjoying the substance of the tours which you conducted, it was an incredible pleasure for us to be in your company. We look forward to staying in touch with you. In no small part because of you, we look forward to returning to France and seeing you in the near future.
As we wrote you on our last day with you: Thank you so much for making our visit to Paris so memorable. We enjoyed your knowledge, your humor and your company. We will remember our time with you always. We hope to see you again.
Best personal regards,
Pam and Grady Murdock

My note is to express our most sincere thanks for the wonderful one day tour to Sword Beach you arranged for us in August. Although it was a long day you made it all so interesting and we really appreciated the many thoughtful courtesies you extended to us, particularly to Joyce, Maureen and Danae.
Our highlights were our visit, then walk, on the beach so we could recall our memories of Joyce’s husband, Charles, and the visit to Bayeux. We were particularly fortunate that you were free that day to take and guide us.
Our sincere best wishes.

My tour of Normandy [Two Day Tour of US Normandy D Day Beaches] will always be one of the most important experiences of my life. It would not have been nearly as successful had I not had you as my guide. Thank you again.

We are back home safely in Texas! I just wanted to tell you thank you so much for the amazing tours [Paris Overview Tour and Versailles Chateau and Park Tour], as my husband said we would not have been able to see so much of Paris in two weeks than we saw with you, and with the extensive history you gave us along the way. Your knowledge and love for Paris is really amazing and we learned so much about this incredible city. Thank you also for the excellent café you took us to and the other recommendations. This tour was especially accommodating and customized to our individual needs and desires, which certainly made for an enjoyable and pleasant trip. I will definitely recommend this tour to any of our friends/family who will be traveling to Paris and certainly would be happy to provide a recommendation should you need it. Thanks again for everything!!

Our family had a remarkable experience during our customized “In the Steps of Monet” tour this spring. We were very impressed with the knowledge you have about the artist and the areas we toured [pick-up in Paris, Giverny, Rouen, Honfleur, drop-off at Servon in Brittany for 5].
Right from the planning stage, you provided excellent customer information that was exceptional and beyond what we expected. Our emails were responded promptly, and you offered extensive knowledge about areas we wanted to visit. You recommended good restaurants and even made reservations for us even before we committed to book with PLT. Our emails, which went back and forth for over a month, were greatly appreciated and really helped in fine-tuning our trip.
We are particularly pleased with the the restaurant that you chose for us near Mont St. Michel. The restaurant is truly a hidden gem. Located inside a charming little country inn in the small village of Servon, Annie and Thierry (inn owners and chef) are both fantastic! Annie was very welcoming and Thierry whipped up some astonishingly good cuisine with fresh local ingredients for us. Thank you so much not just for recommending this fantastic little restaurant, but more importantly to ask Annie and Thierry to make an exception for us to receive us on a day that they don’t usually open. The food was superb and we were able to sample a whole range of appetizers, main courses as well as different desserts. After dinner, instead of calling a taxi for us to Mont St Michel to stay for the night, Thierry even drove us to the Mont himself! This was definitely a memorable and one of a kind dining experience (the food, the atmosphere and the hospitality) that stood out not just from this particular trip to France, but all our previous trips to France.
We left Paris promptly at 8:15 am and reached the restaurant at around 7:30 pm. It was a long day, but it would have been impossible to cover this much ground any other way. Our family love traveling and have used personalized touring company quite often. Your company far exceeded our expectations and I would recommend Paris Luxury Tours to anyone who is interested in a knowledgeable, personalized tour.

We enjoyed our six days in Normandy (Deauville, Three Allies D Day Tour, Bayeux, Mont St Michel, Avranches, Balleroy, Honfleur) together very much, thanks in great part to your deep knowledge of the area and your very congenial and pleasant personality. We know, from the many questions we asked about French history and culture, that your expertise extends over the entire land of France and its people and is not limited to one region.
We assure you that we will never hesitate to recommend you and Paris Luxury Tours to any of our friends who seek a great tour in France.
With best regards,

As promised the tour* was excellent and very well received by the group.
In particular, the restaurant that you chose for us was quite superb. Overall, the short break was the perfect way for us to finalize our tour and thank you for organizing it for us.
Should you need to utilize me as a reference point for future Australian tours, please let me know.

I feel that on our life’s journey we are tempered & changed by the people that we have met along the way. Meeting you and having the opportunity to get to know you, I have a better appreciation of how to enjoy & celebrate life. Your passion for wines & France is very evident to us. You instilled that love to each and every one of us. And for that we thank you. Please accept our open invitation that if you & your family are ever in the San Francisco area to let us know. We would like to act as your tour guide and take you to the places that we love. Just as you love Paris, we love San Francisco.
Shahin, you were truly the maestro in setting up our Burgundy [three day] wine tour. We started on a high note when we visited the Domaine Laroche in Chablis. I especially enjoyed seeing the historic wine press that is still operational. The wines poured by Séverine [Bresson] were fantastic. And seeing the vineyards from the hilltop was truly breathtaking. Visiting Dijon and strolling with the crowds in their town center was amazing. Then we finished off that night with a winemaker’s dinner at the Jardins des Remparts in Beaune that was one of the best meals I ever had. We were drinking 1999, 1992, 1990, & 1988 Meursault wines with each course of the meal. Each wine was beautifully complex. How can you top the first day? But you did. The second day we concentrated on wine tasting. Jean Luc Cortier at the Domaine Chanson is a gentleman. He is a gracious host and the perfect ambassador for wines. He was generous with his knowledge of wines & winemaking. We were pleased that you & Jean Luc accepted our offer of having a delicious lunch at Ma Cuisine with us. Driving through Meursault, I had a sense that the people lived a simple but happy life. The Domaine Michel Picard in Chassagne-Montrachet gave us an opportunity to not only enjoy wines from other Burgundy villages but Marie Florence [Grim], our hostess, went out of her way to patiently explain the wine labels of each of the wines that we were tasting. With nine wines to taste that was no small feat. The day ended with a fine meal at the Auberge du Cheval Noir, an up-and-coming restaurant. Each day’s experience built on the previous day until we reached the crescendo on the third day. Visiting the Hospices de Beaune Hotel-Dieu [Museum], I sensed the generosity of the French people in caring for the poor. This hospital was the model hospital facility of its day. And it did not charge the poor for their medical care. I was truly touched by the masterpiece “The Last Judgment” by Rogier van der Weyden on display there. I could have spent an hour just looking & understanding the meaning of the detailed murals. The Maison Champy gave us a memorable experience. Not only were we to taste fantastic wines, we tasted them and had a delightful lunch with cheese & dessert in a converted wine vat that was redone to accommodate dignitaries. We felt like we were treated as heads of state by Francis [Mairet]. The third day came to a resounding crescendo when we visited Vézelay. High on the hilltop we visited the Basilique Ste-Madeleine. The cathedral was impressive and majestic. It’s the largest Romanesque church in France.
So you can see how each day was topped by the next day’s events. Not only were we able to see & experience wines from different regions of Burgundy, with your extensive knowledge, we learned more than we can ever learn.
Our accommodation in Beaune at the Hostellerie Le Cedre was comfortable & relaxing. I especially enjoyed having cocktails in front of the blazing fireplace at the library room. I would recommend the charming and stately Le Cedre to anyone visiting & staying in Beaune.
Each time I think of our trip to the Burgundy wine region I will always remember your diligence in ensuring our maximum enjoyment of our trip. It was a truly memorable trip. I’m glad that you personally took the time to take us on this tour. Your choice of wineries, restaurants, & places of interest to visit was impeccable. I also believed that on this tour you were also a participant, tasting and learning along with the rest of us. I’m gratified that you also had a pleasant experience with us. I will recommend your tour group to all my friends whenever they want to have a truly unique experience of France.
On our last day in Paris, we were all able to go to the bar in Hotel Lutetia to take in the live jazz music and have cocktails there. The music presented by a vocalist accompanied by a drummer & a pianist was quite enjoyable. Thank you for your recommendation.
Thank you again. May you & your family be continually blessed.
