I’ve returned to San Francisco, and am finally adjusting to my Reality, and all that goes with it!! I certainly prefer Paris!
Patti, Alison, and I agree that the highlight of our vacation was the Giverny and Normandy experience [Two Day Tour of Normandy for 3 persons*]. At Monet’s gardens, I felt like I was in one of his paintings – it was spectacular. Of course, the visit to the D-Day beaches was extraordinary. I think about what that day must have been like for all those troops – given the weather conditions and beach and landing hazards they faced. The American Cemetery certainly demonstrates the toll of human life on that day – a very sobering experience.
Your knowledge of the history of that day made the visit much more meaningful. I only wished I had brushed up on my history prior to the visit. However, I hope to return again. By the way, in the meantime, I have watched the movie “Saving Private Ryan,” as well as “The Longest Day” – both very informative. I also plan to read some history- because I’m certain that the movies took some liberties, and perhaps “rewrote “some history.
Shahin, the two day trip went very smoothly – you made the experience stress free for the three of us. We appreciated your flexibility with slight modifications. Additionally, your dining recommendations were “spot on”! I’m still recalling the taste of that Dover sole [at La Marée in Grandcamp Maisy].
Hopefully, I will be in touch regarding future tours when I return to Paris – maybe next Fall.
Again, many thanks.

After having taken 4 tours with Paris Luxury Tours over the past 7 years, my wife and I have always been impressed with the professionalism, our guide’s in-depth knowledge of the subject matter and congeniality, and the wonderful time in the French countryside. Our tours have included trips to the Loire Valley [day tour from Paris of chateaux in 2010], Normandy [2-day tour in 2012 including Mont Saint Michel & Bayeux plus the US sector of the Normandy D Day sites], Versailles [Park, Gardens and Chateau of Versailles in 2015], and, most recently, the Champagne region [Classic Paris Luxury Tour of Champagne, 2017].
We have been very fortunate over the years that Mr. Shahin Akhavi has been our personal guide for the tours. Mr. Akhavi is top-notch in all respects with special emphasis on his fantastic knowledge of French history and his expertise in all matters regarding wine. We have never been disappointed and have enjoyed every tour. In fact, the day-tours with Paris Luxury Tours have always been a top attraction when we visit Paris and surrounding regions.
Clients that wish to enjoy a memorable experience while vacationing in France, would be wise to consider one of the many tours offered by Paris Luxury Tours. Those days will never be forgotten.

Warm greetings to Shahin and Darius!
I wish to thank you so very much for the splendid experiences I had with Paris Luxury Tours last month [Day tour from Paris of Giverny, Lyons la Foret and Chateau Gaillard in Normandy & full day tour of the Gardens of Paris]. From my initial inquiries, to scheduled rendezvous, and wonderful itineraries led by a very professional, personable and knowledgeable guide, my experience was delightful in every respect.
Darius was attentive to my every need on our scenic trip to visit Monet’s garden in Giverny. He is a careful and skillful driver and great conversationalist, qualities not everyone is capable of handling masterfully at the same time! Taking the back roads on that trip proffered serendipitous stops of interest along the way, making that day one of the most memorable of my two weeks in France.
The following day, with two family members joining me at no additional cost, we visited Paris parks and gardens both large and small. While traveling in comfort between venues, we received interesting and learned commentary from Darius on French history and Parisian architecture, including tales of romance and intrigue, as well as tidbits on what and where the action is for hip Parisians these days.
My thanks to you both for a memorable experience that will stay with me for years to come. I hope to return to enjoy a wine country tour with you at some point, and meanwhile encourage anyone thinking of taking your tour to sign up at once, as they are bound to have a wonderful time.
Thank you and kind regards,

I recently used the services of Paris Luxury Tours and wanted to take a moment to express my profound thanks for a wonderful experience.
My journey began in January 2017 where I found out about Paris Luxury Tours on the Internet. I did my homework finding positive reviews from various sources online before reaching out to them for a trip I was planning for Paris and the surrounding area in June 2017. To say I had a myriad of questions is an understatement particularly since I only had a general idea of what I wanted to accomplish. My guide through this process, Shahin Akhavi, (the owner) was very kind and patient and provided a wealth of information about a wide swath of destinations within driving distance of Paris.
It took many, many back and forth emails to answer all my questions and a lot of flexibility on his part to finally develop my two itineraries [a private full day tour of Lyons la Foret, Chateau Gaillard and Claude Monet’s last home and gardens in Giverny, plus another private full day tour of the Park, Gardens and Chateau in Versailles]. The high level of professionalism and attentiveness, gave me great confidence that I enlisted the right organization.
Our actual guide, Darius, was wonderful arriving promptly each day in an upscale car. He was not only knowledgeable, intelligent and with impeccable manners, he was just very charming in general. When we found out he would be our guide for our second day trip, my husband and I were very happy particularly since we didn’t always want to follow the “exact” schedule and Darius was able to accommodate us with ease.
Overall, I can say it was a lovely experience for us and I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend using the services of Paris Luxury Tours. My husband and certainly will on future travels to France.
With sincere thanks,

Shahin and Darius,
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you from Rick and me for a wonderful two-day tour of Normandy [Etretat, Honfleur, Jumièges, Giverny, Château Gaillard]. Thank you both very, very much! Everything (from organizing the itinerary on line, paying for the tour, arranging to meet Darius, and the two-day tour) was world class and indeed luxurious. Along each step of the way we felt special and your flexibility in coordinating an informative, beautiful, relaxing, and inspiring tour reflects the expertise, professionalism, and creativity you bring to your work. Those types of details do not go unnoticed and we thank you for paying attention to them!
Darius was the consummate tour guide. His knowledge of the locations, history, culture, and lesser known local secrets made each site visit perfect for two Francophiles and French history, language, and culture enthusiasts. We learned new things and it was great seeing for the first time things we’d read about. Darius made the experience even that more enjoyable. His willingness to recognize and create alone time for Rick and me over lunches displays his awareness of his travelers needs. Darius is punctual, professional, kind, intelligent, considerate, and incredibly knowledgeable of the places he tours. Anyone who is fortunate to have him as their tour guide is in for a treat as were we. Darius, thank you !
Here are few pictures that are now indelibly etched memories of our first visit to Normandy. Thank you and Darius for helping to create these memories that will be cherished forever. We indeed look forward to another visit to Normandy and other regions of France and will most definitely call upon you, should you be available, to guide our experience.

Though we did miss seeing and spending time with you, Darius was a worthy pinch-hitter: knowledgeable, charming, relatable and easygoing [Custom Loire Valley Day Tour from Paris of Chenonceau and Cheverny Chateaux, plus a wine estate visit and tasting at Huet l’Echansonne in Vouvray]. Our Loire adventure was a success! I suppose the only downside was there was so much to see and do and time seemed to pass too quickly.
Brooke and I are already planning for a return visit to Paris next September. Seems this may become a yearly travel experience. We are thinking of the Provence tour next time. We would be thrilled to have Darius or you plan our excursion.
Please let Darius know how much we enjoyed his company.
All the best,

Alice and I want to again tell you how impressed we were with the services supplied by your firm and you personally. We had worked out details in advance and they were accomplished beyond my high expectations. The one day trip we took with you personally to Normandy from Paris was wonderful [American sector of Normandy D Day Tour]. We did so much in a day covering three beaches, the cemetery, as well as the German fortifications, was unhurried. But with your personal guidance you were knowledgeable and sensitive to our needs so we never felt rushed or tired.
Thanks to you it was a day we will always remember. The beautiful little restaurant where we enjoyed the fresh Dover sole was an added delight.
I would recommend your services to anyone considering an intimate, first class experience. Your perfect English and worldly knowledge make it all happen with complete ease. We have planned this Normandy trip for some time. You made it happen to our fondest expectations.

I just wanted to thank you for providing us a once in a life time excellent tour of both Normandy, Mont Saint-Michel and later Provence [Tours of Normandy and Provence, each for 2 days].
In Normandy, you managed to give the relevant background and interesting details so that we could actually internalize the obstacles and the intensity of the invasion, culminating with the Normandy memorial. On the way home in the plane both Nick and I had to re watch “Saving Private Ryan” and of course this time it had such new meaning.
The next day on the way to Mont Saint-Michel you again provided the history that made the Mont Saint Michel tour in our minds a must see if you are in the Normandy area. It was so much more meaningful than if we had just gone on our own or in a large group.
The selections of restaurants and lodging was perfect and how nice to be picked up in a very comfortable vehicle for transport to and from. After a full day at the Mont Saint-Michel, the textile museum, and a gourmet lunch, not having to go back to Paris seemed like a wonderful idea!
Your guidance and recommendations in Provence worked wonderfully as well. Our guide [Marlene] was extremely knowledgeable on the all the local nuances and was able to point out historical background, stores, and restaurants that made the tour perfect.
I would highly recommend Paris Luxury Tours to my family and closest friends.

We are back stateside and I have access to all of my emails now. Thank you for providing such a relaxing and informative trip through Normandy [day tour from Paris of Normandy D day sites]. The spots you brought us were perfect and the insight into what happened was very helpful. We also thoroughly enjoyed the lunch, one of the highlights of our trip. If we get a chance to go back to France soon we will definitely contact you. I would love a trip to one of the wine regions next.

This letter is long overdue [Paris Overview Tour and 4 Day Tour of Normandy, performed in July, 2014 for 2 persons]. In writing a letter of recommendation, there are so many accolades I can confer on Paris Luxury Tours—more accurately on YOU—that I just don’t know where to begin.
I am certain you will remember me and my now-husband John—if not for the innumerable emails we exchanged and infinite changes I kept making to our itinerary prior to meeting you (has anyone else before or since asked you so many questions or made so many requests?)—then definitely for the amount of time you dedicated to us on our trip to Paris and Normandy in the summer of 2014.
We were so lucky to have you help us not only with the planning but to accompany us throughout our stay.
I recall one of our first conversations, when I asked if you could accomplish the impossible—to arrange a trip that would keep an art lover AND a “war lover” both happy! Well, you certainly met the challenge. Your vast knowledge of both subjects was awe-inspiring; more importantly, you shared that knowledge in your easy-going style—never pedantic, always patient—with a wry sense of humor as well. You seemed to always sense when we were just at the point of information overload.
Thanks to the relationships you have obviously cultivated over the years, your clients are privy to many unique experiences. One of my fondest memories of the trip was a private tour you arranged with the aristocratic but unpretentious owner of a small organic apple orchard that produces calvados [Chateau de Brouay]. Every time I take a sip from the handcrafted bottle, I am transported back to that incredible day.
I really appreciated your attention to every detail (being an obsessive-compulsive type). Not one item was overlooked. Everything went smoothly nearly every step of the way. And even when it didn’t (like the day we had to drive 45 minutes in traffic back to our hotel for our forgotten coats), you maintained your calm and always kind demeanor.
Your aesthetic values made the trip particularly enjoyable. Every property or eating establishment you recommended was carefully selected for its sense of place, beauty, and pleasing taste.
We have travelled the globe almost continuously these past two years, but our trip with Paris Luxury Tours was by far the best thanks to you.
Please feel free have potential clients contact me should they have any questions.

I highly recommend Paris Luxury Tours for travelers seeking a comprehensive touring program not just in Paris but throughout France. I hired Paris Luxury Tours – Shahin Akhavi to create/ execute/ lead a tour throughout Alsace Lorraine for 12 couples and we were all extremely pleased with the package. Shahin was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning stage, demonstrating strong knowledge about the region and eagerness to accommodate all of our logistical preferences, desired activities, restaurant choices, etc.
We are an upscale group of very well traveled friends who like good food and wine, require 4-5 star hotels and a combination of cultural, artistic, historical activities each day. Shahin recommended a very fairly priced, comprehensive package that met or exceeded all of our requirements. We then had the pleasure of Shahin personally escorting our group for the entire week’s program. He was very attentive and diligent, blended in well with our group, was extremely generous with his time, special additional treats such as wine tastings and restaurant selections, and was very interesting/ fun as a traveler with us.
My friends and I have traveled together as a group for the past 17 years with me putting together each week’s program, working with a local travel company in each country. Paris Luxury Tours ranks at the top. I anticipate that we will have the pleasure of working again in the future with Shahin – Paris Luxury Tours on another French destination.

Thank you for being a wonderful guide and source of information on our trip through Bordeaux, Normandy, and Paris. [Six day custom tour: Bordeaux Right Bank, Three Allies Normandy D Day Tour from Honfleur, combined Giverny and Domaine of Marie Antoinette Versailles Tour and three days in Paris.]
We all enjoyed the background information you provided for every site we visited. The Itinerary was exactly what we wanted. I especially want to thank you for walking with me when I lagged behind. That was very kind.
On behalf of Tom, Julia and myself, I hope we see you again, soon.

On June 24th, Paris Luxury Tours provided our small three-person group with a tremendous day long tour from our hotel in Paris out to the battlefields and beaches of Normandy. I want you to know that we thoroughly enjoyed that experience! Your expertise and historical knowledge of the places and events at the locations we visited was exceptional. From Pegasus Bridge to Sainte Mere Eglise and everything in between, we enjoyed your narration and explanations of the D-Day events and have favorably reflected upon that trip many times since our return to the States.
And I especially appreciate your having a wheelchair in the trunk of the vehicle for my use where walking about at particular sites proved difficult given my physical limitations. Thank you, so very much for that.
If you have a web site where client endorsements may be posted, please feel free to place this communication among what I presume are many other expressions of appreciation and recommendation. I highly recommend you and your company to anyone contemplating engaging a private tour while visiting France.
Again, please know we thoroughly enjoyed our day at Normandy as a client of Paris Luxury Tours.

My wife and I just returned from a two week vacation in France and we began our trip with an absolutely great three day tour of Normandy with Paris Luxury Tours, which we would highly recommend without reservations. Our tour was first class, including our tour guide, Shahin, picking us up at Charles de Galle airport an hour early as our flight arrived early and we expected to have to wait to meet our guide, which we did not.
From there, we toured Rouen and Honfleur and our tours were educational, interesting and well planned. On our second day, we toured as many of the of the WWII sites as we could squeeze into a day, and, once again, the planning and pace of the day was letter perfect. In addition to seeing the sites we wanted to see, Shahin offered expert insight and background at each and every site. He even mentioned that if we were “overwhelmed” with details that we could say so and he would back off a bit, but his clear and concise explanations left us wanting to learn even more. On our third day, we went to Mont St. Michel and also saw the Bayeux tapestry and again enjoyed this day immensely.
Our guide was an excellent and safe driver, he willingly altered each day’s plans as needed to accommodate our wishes, and I would highly recommend this tour group. In addition to choosing outstanding restaurants for lunch every day, Shahin also made dinner recommendations and reservations for us each evening and always asked if there was anything else he could do to make our visit more enjoyable.
If you want to see Normandy and really get a feel for the area, including the historical WWII sites, I would highly recommend Paris Luxury Tours.
Yes, you can see the same sites on a tour bus for a lower price tag, but if you are interested in a personal and independent tour, I cannot imagine a more perfect tour and I would use Paris Luxury Tours again without reservation. All in all, an A+ experience.

We all cannot thank you enough for all the care you have taken of us! There have been so many changes and false starts [flight cancelled, arrival one day later], but in the end you made our tour [Two day Normandy tour for four, including Lyons la Foret, Rouen, Thatched Norman Cottages, Honfleur & Beuvron en Auge] a great success. All our thanks!

Thanks again for a wonderful day [Day tour of Canadian Sector of Normandy D Day Beaches] last Saturday. Lorraine and I enjoyed it immensely. Upon our return we’ve been asked many times about what the highlights of our three weeks in France were, and our trip to the Normandy beaches is among our first response. You made us most welcome and comfortable and enlightened our limited knowledge of what is truly a significant point in modern history. It was a truly memorable experience.
Thank you as well for the list of [Paris] restaurants. We opted for the bistro you had mentioned while driving. Unfortunately the name escapes me [Fontaine de Mars]!
Wishing you continued success with your business and our best personal regards,

I can only say that our experience with Paris Luxury Tours and owner Shahin was 5 star[2 Day Tour of British & Canadian Sectors of Normandy D Day sites]. He was gracious and very helpful from the initial enquiry through the planning and creation of the itinerary to the tour itself. He took our wish list of sites and created a 2 day tour hitting all our sites plus adding others for a wonderful 2 days.
Dakota at Merville Battery
The hotel he suggested [Ferme de la Ranconniere] was an experience all in itself and will be fondly remembered.
Shahin’s extensive knowledge of the D Day activities and sights which he freely shared was greatly appreciated and made our tour very enjoyable and a great learning experience.
I highly recommend Paris Luxury Tours.

Mrs. Ridley could not say enough about the Day Tour [from Paris of Gerberoy and Lyons la Foret] you gave them. They had a wonderful day… She said from start (being picked up at the pier) to the Villages, etc. – they absolutely loved the day.
The Ridley’s enjoyed both villages and were so glad you suggested adding Lyons la Foret to the Day. Her ‘wish’ was to see Gerberoy. Mrs. Ridley had seen this village in a magazine a couple years ago and so wanted to see this. She says she recognized one of the buildings from the magazine when you all arrived.
Henri le Sidaner’s garden in Gerberoy.
They loved that you took the ‘back route’ instead of the highway…giving them a more intimate feel of the area.
And, Lyons was a treat! Not one that was on her ‘bucket list’ but, this unexpected treat was just beautiful! And, so very glad they were able to see both Gerberoy & Lyons. It was an expensive tour; but, Mrs. Ridley said it was such a lovely day – she would have paid double.
Thank you for taking care of my special clients…they have been with me for 7 years and wonderful to know & work with. I appreciate you making a wonderful day with memories to cherish!
I look forward to meeting you one day myself & taking an amazing tour with you, as well.

I am writing to you representing all six of the intrepid travelers on our trip to Normandy and Brittany [9-day custom tour of Normandy and Brittany]. Thank you for such a memorable journey. The amount of planning and fine- tuning that took place beforehand resulted in a trip that was diverse and do-able for all involved. Traveling with a wheelchair and all its parts was a challenge from which you did not flinch, and I personally am grateful for all your attention and many kindnesses. You took into account all our interests and suggested many possibilities.
Somehow you were able to incorporate World War II sites, megaliths and cairns, charming harbor towns, culinary treats, shopping, Mont St. Michel, luxury hotels, and more. Your knowledge of history is impressive and I will remember being captivated by the many stories and lesser- known facts about which you told us along the way. Your flexibility and cooperation was appreciated, as we sometimes wanted to “tweak” our itinerary. Although this was not always possible, I felt you bent over backwards in trying to accommodate our wishes. I could ask you any question, from French history to airport terminal numbers, and you would have an answer or would investigate on our behalf.
Belle Ile, France
The suggested restaurants were almost all superb, and the hotels were exceptional and memorable. We liked the mix of ancient, modern-day, and Neolithic sights and how each appeared alternately throughout the journey so that each of our tastes was satisfied regularly. We also marveled at your expert driving technique as well as the care taken to deliver us as close as possible to our various destinations.
I suspect that each of the six members would have their own list of “bests.” This is a tribute to your knowledge of the area and of us. We recommend Paris Luxury Tours without reservation and hope to use your guidance and expertise in the future.

It was our great privilege to be able to hire Shahin Akhavi of Paris Luxury Tours on April 7th for a day long tour of the beaches of Normandy and learn first-hand of the history of the [Normandy, June 6, 1944] D-Day invasion.
Our friends had recommended taking a Paris Luxury Tour and it turned out to be the highlight of our week staying in Paris. Four of us were picked up at our Paris rental apartment promptly at 7 a.m. for our full day of exploration in a very comfortable new [German] Ford sedan. Shahin explained the history of the D-Day invasion as we drove to Normandy, as well as pointing out interesting points about Paris and France in general throughout the day. (His helpful suggestions helped us plan the rest of our time exploring sites in Paris!)
During the day we were able to walk on Utah & Omaha beaches, view & go into several different sites of German bunkers, visit a WWII museum, have a delightful lunch at a wonderful little fishing town and finally visit the very moving American cemetery. It was a long day (12 hours), but all wonderful. Shahin had a very easy way of explaining all the factors that lead up to June 6th, 1944. He grew up on the east coast, so there was no foreign accent!
Plus as an avid photographer, I greatly appreciated being able to ask him to stop at various locations so I could capture something special; this would not be possible if we had booked a group tour in a minibus.
The booking process was very easy through a Connecticut address to deposit payment, prompt email verification, and it was nice having an English speaking guide to process. I had entered Shahin’s cell phone information into to my iPhone prior to leaving the states so I was able to text him once we arrived to verify the pickup date and time. It was very reassuring to me to have this easy way of contacting our guide!

We would like to take a moment to thank you for the excellent service and tour [Two day tour of Normandy] that we received during our recent trip to France. We were so pleased with your recommendations for our two days outside of the city. Having our children along presented some concern, but your suggestion to break up the trip out to the Normandy Beaches was a great suggestion. Giverny and the tours of Monet’s homeplace were exceptional and quite interesting for both my husband and myself as well as the children. The stops along the way were well planned throughout and allowed us to enjoy the trip to Bayeux. A wonderful place, with an excellent dinner suggestion (including making the reservations for us!).
The tours of the D-day beaches and American cemetery were spot on with our expectations and I can say that my husband was truly enthralled by the entire experience. Although the weather gave us a bit of a problem in the morning, your navigation throughout the day was excellent. The communication of history during the car ride was especially helpful in orienting ourselves immediately upon arrival.
Overall the booking process, timeliness and information provided during our tour was top rate. I would certainly recommend anyone visiting Paris or local areas to Paris to check out Shahin and Paris Luxury Tours as they are top rate!

My husband and I decided to book a tour to the beaches of Normandy with Paris Luxury Tours for our honeymoon in December. My parents went on the same trip the year before and couldn’t stop talking about how interesting and moving it was, so we knew we were in for a treat. However, we couldn’t have predicted just how truly amazing the experience would be. [Day tour from Paris of US sector of Normandy D Day sites]
Shahin, our guide and the owner of Paris Luxury Tours, was informative, kind, and went above and beyond to make our visit special. It started bright and early when he picked us up at our hotel in Paris. What followed was a history lesson tailored to our previous knowledge and areas of interest while we drove out of the city and through the magnificent countryside.
When we arrived at our first stop, a museum erected where John Steele caught his parachute on a steeple, we were both equipped with the background information to appreciate what we saw. After the museum, we drove to see the memorial statue of Major Winters, a famous WWII officer and subject of the Band of Brothers series. Shahin reminded us that the night he landed, a fog had rolled in causing him to land way off course. He challenged us to imagine the night as Winters made his way across enemy territory, surrounded by Nazi forces, to his intended landing destination and carried out his mission.
We continued on to Utah beach, where we walked along the causeway over to look at a German fortification, and strolled back to the car on the beach. It was strange to be there, standing on the same sand, where thousands died in one of the most significant military operations in world history. And, somehow, at the same time, it was remarkably beautiful.
We continued on to a statue erected to honor the naval forces before heading to lunch at La Marée, which serves some of the freshest catch you can find. The three of us enjoyed scallops, oysters, and wine while my husband, Shahin, and I talked history. From lunch we traveled four miles west of Omaha Beach, to the Pointe du Hoc.
We walked along the craters left from the Allied air raids and into the German fortifications which housed the 155-mm guns, the target of the invasion. Here, about 230 army rangers [had been] trained to scale an 80-100 foot cliff in order to overtake the German battery. Of the 230 who made the assault, only about 90 were left in fighting condition once they completed their mission. We continued from the Pointe du Hoc on to the American Military graveyard, where 9,387 American soldiers were put to rest. I’ve never, in my life, seen a more breathtaking cemetery. Again, I felt a real connection to the war, and to everyone affected by it, in a way I’m certain would not have otherwise been possible.
Before we headed back to Paris, we drove along Omaha beach, and again Shahin added several stories and pieces of information to complement what we saw. After a long day, we arrived back at our hotel in Paris, our minds still lost in another place and time. Though I’ve tried, I don’t think I can fully articulate how special this trip was, or how lucky I feel to have experienced it. Thanks for a wonderful time!

David, Catherine and I continue to reflect on our recent trip to Paris and how much we enjoyed it. Our two days with you were high points [Tour of Old Town and Notre Dame Cathedral in Chartres plus the Chateau de Breteuil & Classic Paris Luxury Tour of Champagne].
I appreciated the ease of making the arrangements in advance of the trip and the recommendations you made to enhance the days, including the trip to the chateau, the visits to the Champagne houses and the great restaurants that you suggested. I appreciated how clearly you indicated what was included in the costs and what we needed to be prepared to pay ourselves. We appreciated the comfort of your car, which is important if you are spending a significant amount of time in it each day, and your expert driving!
Most of all, we appreciated the information you provided in the car on the way to our stops and during our visits. Your knowledge is comprehensive but also wide-ranging and that made it really interesting for us.
I highly recommend you to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and companionable guide.
I hope to be contacting you some time in the next few years to help with another trip to France.

My wife and I recently returned from 9 glorious days in France. We spent 7 days in Paris and 2 days in Normandy. The trip was truly enhanced as a result of us hiring Paris Luxury Tours to help us navigate this historically and culturally rich country. PLT was with us for one whole day in Paris, one day in Versailles and 2 days in Normandy.
PLT provided door to door services, intimate walking tours and unique insight into neighborhoods, villages and French culture. Paris is magnificent!! Our trip to Normandy included Monet’s house, French harbour towns dating back 1000+ years and a solid day walking amongst the WW 2 fortifications that American, Canadian and British troops stormed on D Day. At Versailles, PLT provided a first rate review of the property. Don’t miss Marie Antoinettes’ cottages and Norman village. My compliments to PLT: they are at the top of the game.

Once again, on a return visit to France, we chose Paris Luxury Tours for specific tours. [Four day wine tour of Bordeaux and combined day tour from Paris of Giverny and Auvers sur Oise] Shahin organised a four day tour for us in Bordeaux carefully selecting high quality wine estates typical of their areas for us to visit. On each occasion we were given generous time from key personnel at the estates and tasted some magnificent wines.
Back to the future at Troplong Mondot
None of this would have been possible without Shahin’s detailed preparations and his own wine knowledge. Great accommodations and exquisite restaurants added to the experience. Shahin has now taken us and members of our family on a total of six tours which indicates as strongly as anything could, our degree of satisfaction.

We are safely home in Darien, and can’t thank you enough for our wonderful tour of the Normandy beaches [US sector of Normandy D day sites]. Your vast knowledge brought all we have studied, read about and lived through as children come alive. To actually see the beaches was an incredible experience.
We [separately ] went to Mont St Michel and to Arromanches, both of which were wonderful. The museum at Arromanches is so well done. The harbor was far larger and extensive than we imagined. We had no trouble getting to the airport, and even had time to stop at Giverny. Gorgeous!! Thanks for that suggestion!!
Once again, thank you so very much, Shahin.

Both Jeff and I could not be more pleased with Gonzague as a guide and educator [Chablis Wine Day Tour from Paris]. The wineries were absolutely more than we’d imagined. We did not expect to have such individualized attention and guidance at the wineries, as we were treated to. The processes in winemaking were shared from the perspective of centuries of knowledge and experience with masters who love their work and approach their work as an art
Gonzague is a lovely person; very personable, knowledgeable and helped explain, when necessary, what was being described and with his own knowledge of farming and winemaking, gave us a day we won’t soon forget.
He was fun, humorous and enthusiastic about our day and we couldn’t say more but just to tell you thank you for arranging this with little or no lead time. Your attention to our requests and the efficiency with which you dispatched our plans was just plain amazing!
Thanks to both you and Gonzague for making this a day we’ll look back on with such joy and pleasure. Many blessings,

We wanted to let you know how happy we were with the tour of Normandy [American sector of Normandy D Day sites] you provided to our family. You were professional, knowledgeable and you provided us with an unforgettable day.
The history lesson you provided on our way to Normandy was very valuable and provided an excellent foundation for the day ahead.
It’s also worth noting that our kids are 9 and 11 and you made the tour enjoyable and informative for them as well.
Please feel free to use us as a reference for your future clients. We’ll be sure to reach out for our next visit. Thanks again.

I wanted to take a minute to report back on my trip with Paris Luxury Tours. I utilized your services for 1 day in Champagne, 2 days in Burgundy and 1 day American D-day tour in Normandy.
All aspects of the tours were handled with the utmost professionalism, including the booking process, airport pickup, and tours. Shahin was able to provide insight around hotels and restaurants and was also able to help accommodate my special dietary requirements.
Gonzague was a wonderful host for our tours through Champagne and Burgundy. He was extremely knowledgeable around the winemaking process and all of nuances of the region. A personal highlight was our stop at Olivier Leflaive, which included direct interaction with the winemaker and getting to help “churn” the Pinot Noir grapes. In Champagne, stops at Henri Giraud and Tattinger, were wonderful. Gonzague had good relationships at the wineries and we were met with great welcomes everywhere we travelled.
My D-day tour was a perfect day. Shahin had a tremendous knowledge of the region and was able to share a lot of wonderful insight. By having a guide, I was able to see so much more than I would have on my own. I estimate that I would have needed to spend another day to see what I was able to see on my one day and I would not have been able to enjoy it nearly as much.
I highly recommend your services and hope to be able to use them again!

Our entire group had a wonderful experience. [Four day custom tour of Normandy for 8 persons with pick-up at CDG airport and drop-off at barge in Burgundy] Right now we are collectively sitting around with a glass of wine reflecting on our great experience thru Cotentin peninsula. All agree your expert,
thoroughly researched, and scholarly presentations regarding all the aspects of Operation Overlord was superb. The trip to Mont St Michel was equally enlightening. Most important though, was the casual, yet professional attention you gave to all our inquiries. You made our trip a special time and we are grateful.

We have been remiss in sending this testimonial to you as promised since returning from our September trip to Paris and Normandy. [Custom Three day Normandy Tour including Giverny, Caen Peace Memorial Museum, Arromanches, Longues sur mer, US sector Normandy D day sites, Bayeux, Rouen & Lyons la Foret] We want to compliment you once again for the outstanding itinerary you put together for our Normandy excursion. It was the perfect combination of WW II site exploration and experiencing a taste of Normandy countryside and village life. Being a guest at Le Cheveniere was an added bonus — thanks so much for recommending the chateau as our resting spot during our trip.
While we are sure that any of the tour guides of Paris Luxury Tours would have done an excellent job, having you — the company owner — as our personal guide was very special. Your in-depth knowledge of the history of WW II, the Normandy area, and Parisian life in general added so much to our visit. It was obvious to us that this is not just a job to you; it is a passion that translates into a very enjoyable experience for your clients.
We also want to commend you for your always prompt and thorough responses to our emails as we planned our trip. You listened to our questions and comments and always responded courteously and professionally. Working with you was a pleasure and Paris Luxury Tours delivered on every front. We highly recommend Paris Luxury Tours to anyone seeking a unique, personal and truly luxury tour experience. We are looking forward to our return visit.

Let me share with you my impressions of the tour. I can honestly say I was somewhat skeptical of a 12-14 hour (+/- 6 hours in travel time) tour with someone that I didn’t know. [Day tour of American sector of Normandy D Day sites] I was also a little concerned about paying for half of the tour fee in advance. I have to tell you that I made the comment to Tamara on more than one occasion, “What happens if the tour guide doesn’t show up?”
I was relieved to find you waiting for us prior to the 7:00am pickup time at our hotel. I was pleased to find that you had spent some time in the states, and a considerable amount of time in Paris/France. It was a bonus to me that you had an Iranian heritage and understanding/beliefs of matters that were contrary to my understanding. As I told you, I always look to find “corroborating” information/evidence to support or change my beliefs. Now about our impressions of the tour. Tamara and I always wanted to visit the Normandy landing sites to get personal insight into the area, people and events surrounding the D-Day invasion.
I was only expecting to hear about the Allied’s version of the story. When you mentioned an explanation of the German’s side, I didn’t think I would be interested, but I was wrong. It provided a much more complete picture of the invasion, people and events. Your ability to describe the entire invasion strategy, preparation and execution, from both perspectives was remarkable. Your delivery was very smooth, organized and to the point….so much so that it made the 3+ hour drive to and from Normandy fly by! Utah and Omaha beaches were our priority and you covered each more than adequately. Although the weather was overcast, I’ll never forget our arrival at the US cemetery just as the flag was being lowered and Taps was played. The sun broke through the clouds and rays shone across the cemetery! What an amazing site. I’m also happy that you joined us for lunch. It was a real pleasure hearing about the French people and your life experiences. The day flew by and that is always the sign of a good tour/guide….especially one that lasted about 14 hours!!!
Although we have been to other places in France and many places around the world, this was our first trip to Paris and the Normandy area. During our travels we have been on more tours than we can count, both private and group. Tamara and I agree that the Normandy tour you provided was most likely the best we have ever experienced. Please take pride in your efforts, they are very appreciated. Best wishes for your future and thanks again,

Pam and I arrived home, yesterday, after our glorious vacation. We greatly enjoyed our visit to the Normandy region and our subsequent visit to the City of Light…. [Two day Normandy tour direct from CDG, including Rouen, Honfleur, Omaha Beach, and Mont St Michel Island and Abbey].
Thank you so much for making our tour of the Normandy region an outstanding part of our vacation to France. We enjoyed the sights of that part of France. Bart was especially thrilled to have the opportunity to visit Omaha Beach … up close and personal.

On short notice, Shahin was able to put together a day trip to Normandy from Paris that surpassed our expectations [US sector of Normandy D Day Beaches]. Our group was small but there was a wide range of age and interests. Every detail from the terrain we
would encounter on foot, to the meal we would share was explained to us in advance. There was not a historical question that Shahin could not answer. I especially enjoyed his ability to provide context for places visited on the tour as well as recreating events that were significant from the German position and allied mission at Normandy during WWII.
Thank you, Marianne

It’s been almost a month since we left Paris and we wanted to thank you for your services [Tour of Louvre, Tour of Chateau de
Versailles and Classic Paris Luxury Tour of Champagne]. We not only enjoyed it, but learned much as a result. I was able to find the Henri Giraud Esprit Blanc de Blanc [Champagne] and ordered a couple of cases, and we are thoroughly enjoying it! The day spent in Reims and Epernay was one of my favorites and we appreciate the knowledge you shared with us about your beautiful country!

We recently returned from France, a highlight being two tours with Shahin of Paris Luxury Tours. Shahin was prompt and professional in all arrangements made beforehand. The tours exceeded all expectations.
We spent two days visiting Giverny, Rouen, Honfleur, Mont St Michel and Bayeux. Shahin arranged wonderful accommodation outside Bayeux and lunch at two excellent local restaurants. His knowledge of the places we visited and their history was comprehensive and most interesting.
We then spent a day visiting Compiegne, Senlis and Chantilly – once again Shahin’s knowledge of, and interest in, the places we visited was excellent. And he took us to lunch at one of the best restaurants we have visited in France.
We would thoroughly recommend his services and would gladly respond to any query from a prospective client.

We arrived back in Dallas last Sunday evening after our wonderful trip to Europe starting in Paris and Normandy. Of course, the highlight of the trip was our day in Normandy [American Normandy D Day Tour] with you as our guide. The day could not have been any better as it turned out. Your knowledge of Normandy and the events that took place during WW2 were outstanding and so informative.
It was like being in a history class field trip. The day in Paris [Paris Overview Tour] was equally as wonderful and we learned so much and saw so much. Thank you for just an excellent two days in France. Both days far exceeded our expectations and the Jaguar wasn’t bad either. If we make it back, you can be sure we will want to take one or two more of your fantastic tours.

How very special you made our trip! Everything was perfection. [Paris Overview Tour, Paris Gastronomy Tour, Classic Paris Luxury Tour of Champagne, Louvre and Orsay Museum Tours] The museums, the gastronomy tour, the Champagne tour, the restaurants you chose, literally everything you did was planned down to the gnat’s eyelash and executed with effortless poise. Everyone you summoned to entertain and educate us were well-versed, patient and entertaining. Please accept my ardent thanks for all of your hard work in creating lifelong memories for 6 childhood friends celebrating their 60th birthdays together in Paris. Fondest regards,

If you want a personalized, in-depth tour of the Normandy Beaches then Paris Luxury Tours is for you. My wife and I wanted to have the flexibility to select the areas of interest, and with guidance from our tour guide, we visited D-Day sites of great interest and historical significance.
Our guide provided rich historical information on the D-Day invasion from both the Allies and German perspective. All this and we enjoyed a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. I would highly recommend Paris Luxury Tours to you as a “high value” D-Day Tour experience.

Paris Luxury Tours provides a top notch, first class tour in Champagne. As per our request, Shahin was able to arrange tours and tastings with two of Champagne’s top houses. Our group of five was treated to private tours at Bollinger and Krug. This was followed
by tastings of numerous champagnes at each house. I have been fortunate to have experienced private tastings in Napa from many “Cult status vineyards.” Our experience in Champagne ranks right up there!
Ask for Shahin. He is well organized, professional, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Paris Luxury Tours.

My wife and I had planned a trip to London and Paris for our 25th anniversary. About two weeks before our trip, one of our friends suggested that we look into the possibility of arranging a personal private tour. Having never been to Paris, we decided to contact the hotel concierge to arrange a tour, which proved to be somewhat challenging. So we went online and searched “luxury guided Paris tours” and fortunately we came across and landed on Shahin Akhavi’s Parisluxurytours.com website.
We were fortunate to have Shahin perform the tour personally and it was a fantastic experience. The tour was the best day of our vacation – we saw and learned all day. It was incredible. Shahin knew the City, the history, and spoke the language. It was so easy for us. In fact, we’re going back next year, directly to Paris this time, and we’re going to book another tour with Shahin – probably another Paris Overview or a trip to Versailles.
So if you are planning a trip to Paris and looking for a private tour give Shahin a call – you won’t regret it.

Dealing with Paris Luxury Tours was a pleasure from the outset. Questions were answered promptly, the tour was well detailed and payment mechanism was trouble free.
Pick up from our Paris apartment was timely and our trip to Versailles included a marvellous initial route through the city of Paris followed by an informative narrative of the pre history of our destination that was a wonderful prelude to our arrival. Mr Akhavi’s knowledge and delivery was first rate and meant no history book was required prior to our arrival to help enjoy our visit.
My party included young children and importantly Mr. Akhavi made them feel at ease and was sympathetic to our needing to accomodate for them in our day out.
With his guidance a very enjoyable lunch venue was found and we were all most satisfied prior to our journey to Monet’s Gardens/house.
The journey through the French countryside and Seine Valley was a mix of scenic pleasure and informative dialogue re our destination.
With happy but tiring children we were delivered back to Paris in timely fashion.
Our day out with Paris Luxury Tours was a success on all fronts.
I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Akhavi and his organisation and intend on becoming a repeat customer when next able to visit.

Our entire family expresses its deep appreciation for a fabulous tour of Paris. [Custom Eurostar Tour of Paris and Paris Museums] You were wonderful!! We are still marvelling at how much of Paris we were able to enjoy in only a day.
You combined our interest in the museums and our interest in knowing more about the great buildings and monuments throughout the city and brought it together in a flawless experience. We all enjoyed our lunch with you at Les Deux Magots. Your knowledge of Paris and of its history gave us such insight we would never have known but for you. Your ability to navigate Paris traffic is amazing. You created wonderful memories that will stay with our family, especially our grandchildren, for their lifetime. Thank you again.

Greetings Mr Akhavi,
I recently had the good fortune to be included in the family tour you organised and conducted to the above Champagne regions [Classic Paris Luxury Tour of Champagne for 6 persons]. The day was one of the main highlights of my trip to Paris. Your organisational skills in choosing superb venues for tasting and a wonderful restaurant for lunch were greatly appreciated. Your knowledge of the history of the region and the various houses all contributed to our overall enjoyment of the day.
Thank you for providing a tour which we shall never forget.

Dear Shahin Akhavi,
I wanted to drop you a short note again thanking you for your tour for me and my family for our first visit to Normandy. It was without a doubt the best tour I’ve ever had and your knowledge of everything connected to the war and the Normandy invasion
was absolutely incredible. [American Normandy D Day Tour]
We felt so informed about everything that happened with all that went on at all the different sites that you took us to from learning about the Atlantic Wall, Pointe du Hoc, Pegasus Bridge, the
parachute and glider landings at Saint-mer Eglise ( and the wonderful museum there), walking on Omaha Beach which took the lives of our 2500 men and the immaculately kept American cemetery in Colleville-sur-mer commerating our American dead, etc…
It was truly great being there made even better by your vast knowledge of everything that took place. It will stay with me forever and I can’t thank you enough for being our guide and for being so nice and wonderful to me and my family. I have already given your name to some friends to call you when next in Paris to share the same experience.

For anyone interested in a wine region in France, Paris Luxury Tours are the best option for the most seamless of introductions to a region, its history, its significance to the broader country, and, most importantly, to the best producers of that region.
The tour of Alsace we undertook in September 2011 [Two Day Tour of Alsace, starting in Strasbourg] presented not only the best producers of Alsatian wine but also a most worthy contrast of the region’s terroir and the relevant styles of the wines that make the region so special.
Through Paris Luxury Tours relationships we were very fortunate enough to be able to engage personally with some of the characters behind what are some of the most important producers in the Alsace. All of this was complimented by the best of the region’s cuisine.
Shahin was the perfect host and ensured that my wife and I only had the most relaxed & educational tour of a region that now means so much more to us than we could have imagined.
If you are seeking a personal, relaxed & unforgettable tour of a desired or most loved region France we cannot more highly recommend Paris Luxury Tours, or more specifically a Paris Luxury Tour of Alsace and all it has to offer.

Paris Luxury Tours is an excellent company and Shahin Akhavi, in particular, is an excellent guide. First off, when we inquired about where we wanted to go, I received a detailed explanation, with recommendations, of what our trip would entail.
More importantly, the actual tour was precisely what we were promised.
Shahin is a knowledgeable guide and uses the travel time effectively to inform you of helpful and interesting information.
He is prompt, courteous and thoughtful. In addition, he is an interesting person and up to date on Parisian and world affairs which adds a bit to the tour. He is careful to ask you about your preferences before stating his opinions.
My wife has a bit of trouble getting about, especially in and out of cars and he was kind and gentle in marking sure her issues were minimized. The vehicle we were in was most commodious. I have no problem recommending this service without any reservation of any kind.
I have the nicest remembrances of the two wonderful days we spent with him as our guide. [Custom full day tour of Giverny & Chartres, and full day tour of Versailles Chateau & Park.]

[day tour from Paris of Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé appellations].
This will be indelible in our memories.

We thoroughly recommend Paris Luxury Tours’ Classic Champagne Tour with Shahin to anyone
who wants to spend an informative day in the company of a courteous, personable guide with endless knowledge of and passion for both the region and wine of Champagne. He arranged tastings for us at 2 Champagne Houses (not an easy task on the week-end in August, we found out), lunch at Les Crayeres, a timely pick up from our lodgings [in Paris], and a safe and comfortable journey.
This was a fantastic way to conclude our holiday in Paris.
June 20, 2011
We thoroughly enjoyed the two days we spent with you during our trip to France. Choosing from all the possible places to visit was overwhelming for us at first. At least until we began prioritizing what we wanted to accomplish and see. Your tours helped us make
great use of our time. We only had a few days in Paris, far too short, but that was all the time we had as Paris was a stopover for other travel. We desired to sample the museums of Paris and we wished to find a knowledgeable driver and guide. Our goal was to optimize the art we could view while minimizing travelers’ fatigue. So we did a web search and the Paris Luxury Tours website seemed to have an answer – the Paris Museums Tour.
It was a leap of faith to book a tour based on our hunch that it was a good match for us. We were also excited about the PLT Champagne tours and we decided to take the chance and book two day tours with you: Paris Museums Tour & the Classic Champagne tour.
Both of your tours were excellent and we could not have been more pleased! We appreciate your attention to detail that began in our email correspondences prior to booking and continued throughout each tour day, and including the last moments before saying goodbye when you recommended an excellent bistro that was near our hotel. I am a slow walker and you demonstrated such care and consideration in eliminating extraneous walking, dropping us off near entrances, captivatingly yet efficiently leading us through the monumental maze of the Louvre, and giving us the right amount of information to allow us to choose the best activities and individualized focus for our tours. In Champagne you made all the arrangements in advance for us to visit two top Champagne houses, both with fascinating cellars.
It was a glorious day for us that ended with a visit to Reims and the Reims Cathedral!
Having you as our private guide and driver eliminated sources of stress we have experienced in other large foreign cities. Instead of feeling stressed, we were relaxed both days. We didn’t have to worry about wine tasting then driving, we didn’t spend time thinking about transportation routes or deal with rude taxi drivers, we didn’t have to overuse our limited French language skills, and didn’t waste time or money because you helped us select among eateries with the best quality food. Our experience with Paris Luxury Tours was an absolute treat. We appreciate your vast knowledge that you easily conveyed to us during our tours. We value that even though we had full tour days we never felt rushed or hurried. We cannot thank you enough for the wonderful tours and great memories of Paris and Champagne. When we return to France we will definitely be booking another tour – Cezanne’s homeland beckons! Merci, Merci, Merci,

Bonjour. As promised, we have evaluated our Paris Luxury Tour of May 2011 and would like to share it with you. We admire your ability to hop in a car with three virtual strangers and tour for three days [Three day tour of Normandy]. You made us feel welcome
and comfortable with you [except as previously noted with Alan’s anxiety about anyone else driving]. We appreciated your knowledge of the sites we visited.
We are so glad you recommended an early start to Giverny-cannot believe how crowded it gets! We appreciated the stop at the church where Monet is buried and our friend, Dottie, loved the pictures.
The tour of the Normandy area with an historical perspective was fantastic. As I stated previously, the two days spent examining World War II sites were the highlight of the trip for Aaron. We were very pleased with our tour of Mont St. Michel–would have loved to see the tide come in but understand that may require much more time. The vehicle was perfect with plenty of legroom and trunk space.
The Lion d’Or was an adequate accommodation and it’s convenience in town was fantastic.
We did think the manager/owner was displeased that we chose to eat elsewhere and we were aghast that the morning we left we were charged 5 euros each for coffee alone. Retrospectively, perhaps the inn on the outskirts of town [Chateau de Bellefontaine] or the 4 stars [La Cheneviere]?
We believe we received good value for our money and you delivered exactly what you stated in our communications. Thank you so much for a memorable vacation tour.

I look back at my time in Paris and can’t believe it came and went so quickly. I wanted to take a minute and let you know about our day with Darius; we loved it [Paris Luxury Tours Classic Tour of Champagne]. He was so friendly, informative, polite; all the things you hope for. I can’t tell you how much we all enjoyed his company; it’s not easy to be in the company of 5 people who all know each other and be at ease, but he was. Our day was great, but it was made better by having Darius with us. Visiting the champagne houses was very interesting/informative, and of course, the tastings were the best part. Again, all made better by Darius’ company.
If I have one suggestion, it would be to be sure the larger car is available for a group of 5; the back seat was a little tight. I know Darius felt terrible about that, and of course we don’t hold Darius responsible for that. [The larger vehicle booked broke down the day before this tour.]
I will be happy to recommend your company to anyone who is looking for your services, and please give our best to Darius.

Karen, Mecca, and I would like to again offer our thanks for the superb tours we experienced last week. We were talking at dinner yesterday over a bottle of French wine that we could never have had such a wonderful time without your help.
Thanks to you, we saw and did so much more than we thought was ever possible. The Paris Overview tour provided a wonderful re-acquaintance with the city for my wife and mother, and taught me more than I could possibly have learned on my own, not to mention you saved me much time fumbling with maps, brochures, and worrying about transportation around Paris.
The Charming Villages of Normandy tour was a very relaxing venture from the city, enabling us to see so
much beautiful French countryside while learning of its rich history along the way, and you told the history so well.
The Wine tour [of the Pouilly Fumé and Sancerre appellations] was fascinating, teaching us so much about the wine making process and the complexities of the business in general.
The [American sector of the Normandy] D-Day [Beaches] tour was all of relaxing, educational, somber, and happy, and you provided such a thorough, objective, and logical account of the events
and their context in the larger part of the war. We appreciated that you could join us for lunch, as we experienced a full range of French cuisine at reasonable prices while enjoying your pleasant company.
You have my highest recommendation for anyone who wishes to experience the wonders of France in just a few days. Your tours were all so professionally performed and were a great value. Again, thank you very much for a most memorable vacation.

Carol Ann & I just wanted to send you a special thank you for making our tours to Giverny, Rouen, Bayeux &the Normandy beaches come alive for us [Two Day Tour of Normandy]. Our night at the Chateau [La Cheneviere] was perfect, as was your timing for all our special needs.
Your wealth of knowledge, including all the “nuggets” of information, on everything we saw, made the tour very special for us. And we also will remember your flawless driving, particularly as you manoeuvred thru the Paris congestion. You are tops on our list to recommend to anyone. Thanks for your company & friendship. We head home Fri. & look forward to receiving the pictures you took & providing any other info that you need.

Paris Luxury Tours, and in particular, Shahin Akhavi, recently organized a tour for my husband and myself from Paris to Juno Beach to view the Canadian Normandy D-Day sector of Operation Overlord and the Battle of Normandy.
The trip—from the planning to the execution—more than met our expectations. Shahin was excellent at working with us via e-mail in advance to plan the trip. Any concerns we might have had about dealing by e-mail and on the Internet with someone we had not personally met before were immediately allayed by his responsiveness, anticipation, and alleviation of our concerns.
We were very comfortable during our actual trip. He knew the roads well, whether driving on the autoroute or on the back roads, and we were at ease with both his driving style and his vehicle—a full-sized Mercedes. What was more important was the information he was able to impart to us on the trip, and while at Juno Beach. His English is impeccable and he made us feel as though we were going back in time through his intensive knowledge of the area and its history. He didn’t just relay facts to us—although he knew his history incredibly well—he told us personal and moving stories about the Canadian soldiers’ involvement in this critical battle. We learned so much more from him than we had learned from books—not just about Juno Beach but also about France.
We will definitely use Paris Luxury Tours again when we return to France and have no hesitation in recommending this company to others. Shahin, we thank you for making this a most informative, enlightening, and memorable tour.

Many thanks for such an outstanding day together in Versailles with the Goldman’s last Wednesday.
We were so fortunate to have Carol find you as our tour guide.
If you have a website link you can send me, I’d like to keep your information for future reference, referral and/or employment. We regret not having added the time to go to Normandy with you and the Goldman’s. Just another trip in the future.
Again, thank you for a lifelong memory of our trip to Versailles.

Carol and I are back home, still aglow with our time in France, made immeasurably richer by virtue of the four days we spent in your good care.
Both the day trip to Versailles with our friends Rob and Leigh, and the three days we spent alone with you in Normandy, were magical and memorable.
When we made our reservations with you, based solely on the introduction provided by the internet, I was apprehensive: I knew that one full day, let alone four, spent with a mediocre or tiresome tour guide can sully an otherwise great itinerary.
What we got with you as our guide — lucky us — was perfect: a knowledgeable, cultured and intelligent companion, a wonderful driver, a great storyteller and a man we’d be honored to call a friend.
Thanks, Shahin, for arranging our wonderful accommodations, for providing your expert guidance and for your most engaging company. Carol and I wish you continuing success and send our warmest regards.

I am writing to thank you for playing such an important part in helping me to celebrate my Mum’s 70th Birthday in Paris.
You personally helped me to design, plan and execute two of the most magnificent day trips we could have possibly done in France [Super Luxury Tour of Champagne and Custom Tour of Giverny & Chateau and Park of Versailles]. The first trip to the Champagne region in your luxury Mercedes S-Class was outstanding. We both thoroughly enjoyed the private tours at Ruinart & Bollinger Champagne houses, and the Champagne tastings of course! But the highlight of the day was the amazing 5-Star lunch that we had at Les Crayeres which you arranged and the menu which was personally designed by the Chef and complimented by the very best of the Ruinart Champagne offerings.
Your attention to detail and the commentary that you provided to us gave us a fascinating insight into the Champagne region.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day that was totally unique, private and very special to both of us.
The second day trip to Giverny, Monet’s garden and home, & Versailles for me was a personal highlight. I was mesmerized by Monet Gardens and your excellent planning enabled us to spend quality time in the gardens which were simply magnificent before the crowds arrived.
I could do it all again! I loved Versailles and both Mum & I really enjoyed the lunch we had together with you on the Sunday at your special restaurant [Brasserie du Theatre in Versailles]. You are an excellent ambassador for your country and the combination of the privacy of the tours, the quality commentary and allowing us to enjoy some special mother & daughter moments together made the trip unforgettable for us.
I highly recommend your services to future visitors to Paris who are seeking a unique, truly luxurious 5-Star touring experience. Look forward to meeting you on our next trip!

Thank you so much for a truly beautiful trip, and a marvelous idea as the impetus: into the Provence region…. Today we have snow coming down, and, goes without saying, freezing temps.
Provence will see us thru ‘tho.’
The photos are fabulous. And you are ready for the second career, in photography, truly…. Another wonderful travel experience [six day tour of Provence] to be tucked away in the memories

We recently took a Luxury Champagne Tour through Paris Luxury Tours and we were so very pleased with the outcome and service we received. The entire process booking the tour was very simple and Shahin was most gracious in answering all our questions about what to expect. In planning our trip he asked about our likes and dislikes and if we had any specific landmarks we wanted to see.
All of these were incorporated into the day. He contacted us prior to our arrival in Paris to ensure we were comfortable with all the arrangements and to confirm final times.
Day of, Shahin proved to be a very genial host, most attentive and punctual, with very elegant transportation. He provided great commentary as we toured the countryside. Shahin has vast knowledge about the area and history to draw upon.
We had a lovely day. The Champagne houses he chose, along with the amazing restaurant for lunch, were all superb and gave us an incredible experience.
In addition to being a wonderful guide, Shahin also made some wonderful recommendations for dinner in Paris and referred us to a boutique wine shop that sold all of the champagnes we had tasted on our tour.
We look forward to using Paris Luxury Tours again on our next trip to France.

Thank you very much for the wonderful, personalized tours of Paris, Versailles and Chantilly [Paris Overview Tour, Paris Museums Tour, Versailles Chateau and Park Tour, and Chantilly Chateau and Park Tour]. Although I spent over a year living in Paris, there is absolutely no way I could have managed to take my husband, my children and their grandmother all over the city as quickly and as comfortably as you did.
Thank you also for all of your insider tips on the best places to dine. Above all else, thank you for sharing your extensive knowledge of French history and culture with us. My daughter had just finished a rather grueling examination on the French Revolution, and you really made everything more interesting for her (and for all of us.)
We loved all of your fascinating stories, and she was so eager to share them all with her fellow history students and teachers.
I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that you taught me so many things that I never knew about the buildings and sites that I used to walk by everyday! We have already recommended your services to our friends, and we look forward to our next trip to France.

Shahin – we really enjoyed the tour [American Normandy D Day Tour]. It was a pleasure to meet and talk with your son Darius.
He picked us up promptly and we enjoyed a nice drive to Normandy. He was very informative about Paris, which we appreciated. The tour of Normandy was fascinating. Nicole provided a great commentary and we felt like we saw the key sites that we wanted to see. Having just finished reading a book on D-Day, it was amazing to actually be at the beaches and the historic sites. The length of the entire tour was perfect. We would not hesitate to use your company again in the future and will recommend your tours to anyone we know. Thanks for a very memorable day.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to Normandy [US Normandy D Day Tour from Paris].
The itinerary was customized just the way we wanted it and our guide was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the trip. He even brought a few books to get us oriented with the area which was very helpful.
In addition to exceeding our expectations, it was nice to spend the day with such an interesting and pleasant person. We look forward to planning our next tour!

Gary and I wanted to thank you for helping us arrange, at such short notice, a wonderful tailor made tour of the Champagne district
[Two day Classic Tour of Champagne]. It certainly helped having you make the arrangements for accommodation and advising what [Eurostar] train to catch to ensure we saw as many Champagne houses as we could (our brief to you).
It was certainly a relief seeing you standing at the station – always a concern when you book something over the internet!
We really appreciated your knowledge and connections – we especially enjoyed our time at Bollinger.
Thank you also for being flexible and trying out a new restaurant that had been recommended to us (again changing at short notice).
You helped make a dream come true and we look forward to coming back again for many more tastings.
With kindest regards.

Dear Mr. Shahin.
I am back to Saudi Arabia. I am writing to you here to thank you for all what you and your colleagues have done for us during our short visit to Paris.
With your effort and dedication you made our visit enjoyable and unforgettable [Paris Overview Tour and Custom Tour of Louvre Museum and Chateau of Versailles]. I knew about your company by luck by doing a search in Google but after experiencing Paris with your well-organized tours I will spread the word among my friends and will advise them not to make any additional search and just contact you directly and I also assure to you if I visit France again I will never hesitate contacting you again to organize my coming visits.
Thank you again for your hospitality and please thank Johanna and Darius for their kindness and help. Looking to see you again, and all the best.

Shahin and Paris Luxury Tours were an incredible experience. My mother, sister, and I had an 8 hour tour – which was a nice combination of walking the city, and driving [Paris Overview Tour]. Shahin is a superb historian, and the tour is very engaging and educational. Paris Luxury Tours is very flexible and can build a tour around any specific agenda or preferences. I have visited [Paris] more than 10 times but it is wonderful to get a different perspective of Paris, a city that is so beloved all over the world.

Bonjour ! It’s Arrington Walcott, whom you took to Champagne recently with my mother, Virginia, and our close friend Elizabeth [Classic Paris Luxury Tour of Champagne]. I certainly hope this letter finds you happy and well. First of all, thank you very much for treating us to such a wonderful tour of Champagne. It was truly magnificent. The food, the wine, the countryside, the people—it was indeed an occasion I hope never to forget.
Additionally, I would like to thank you for taking the time to contact me with information on Domaine Soumade. Do you know Claude, the owner of the wine shop in the 1st [district of Paris] who had the wine in stock? He was quite a character. I suppose I’ve jumped ahead of myself—I bought a bottle of Domaine de la Soumade “Rasteau” 2007. It was 16 euros, and the cheapest [Rasteau] in the store. Fortunately, you made an excellent suggestion (not surprisingly), and I thoroughly enjoyed every drop.
Thank you again for everything. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed simply listening to you talk, and I sincerely hope it was not the last time. In any case, thank you again, it was a pleasure to meet you and I wish you the very best.

I want to thank you for a wonderful experience on our recent day tour of Champagne [Classic Paris Luxury Tour of Champagne]. The whole experience from start to finish was absolutely perfect, mostly the result of your hospitality and expertise! Of course, the wines and the beauty of the region don’t hurt, but your professionalism, knowledge, and personality are what put the experience over the top.
It is always difficult to know exactly what one is getting into through internet research and email communication. In your case, everything exceeding our expectations. If and when I have the chance to visit France again, I will most certainly call on you for assistance! I hope that it is sooner rather than later.
Thank you again for everything.

I just wanted to thank you again for our tours of Paris [Paris Overview Tour] and Versailles [Versailles Chateau and Park Tour] – they were everything you promised, and more. I feel like we not only saw some of France but also took a crash course in French history. And your restaurant recommendations were all top notch- every meal was excellent. If I ever get back to France I will certainly use Paris Luxury Tours again.

We all thank you for the interesting tours of Paris [Paris Overview Tour] and Versailles [Versailles Chateau and Day Tour]. Personally I had the good fortune to attend private family tours in Belgium in the past, but nothing compares to the experience that you gave us. Although we had visited Paris before, your guidance made it unforgettable. Bill tells me we should have done this a long time ago, and I cannot agree with him more. We were just very lucky to have found you on the internet. Besides your profound knowledge of the city, you also included a taste of the French culture by choosing authentic French restaurants, interesting neighborhoods, streets, market places, sometimes off the beaten track. The next day we visited the Louvre and saw the foundations [of the medieval Louvre fortress] that you recommended which were indeed the most memorable of the whole visit, and we did miss you.
Hopefully we return to Paris one day to take another guided tour. We can wholeheartedly recommend your services to anyone.

Francie and I cannot thank you enough for our most amazing tour of the Champagne Region of France [Two day and one overnight tour of Champagne]. I do not believe we could have enjoyed ourselves more, learned more or shared company with a more pleasant companion.
Your ability to gain access to and selection of Champagne Houses to visit was remarkable for several reasons: access and quality of the tours provided by the Houses, stylistic differences of the wines from grape to bottle, and for the history of the region which tells so much about what we enjoy with so little thought but great pleasure. You could not have set the stage better during our drive from Paris and we both enjoyed the flexibility you provided in catering to our wishes.
I should note that the touring and your service from arrival to departure were just as Francie predicted. As a returning and satisfied customer based on the great day in Paris you provided she and our daughter, Rachael in December of 2008 [Eurostar Tour of Paris], I now understand her confidence in you. And, how did you arrange the fine weather? We will be back. Thank you!

I apologize for my delay in thanking you for the wonderful tour of Versailles that you gave to our family. You are obviously extremely well-versed in the history of France, and you are also a wonderful story teller of that history. You had not only my husband and me on the edge of our seats, but our two teenage daughters were eager to hear more! We so much enjoyed our time with you.
Dear friends of ours are visiting France beginning August 4-19. They are interested in touring Normandy and I highly recommended you. [They] will be contacting you next week. I hope you are enjoying your summer!

My greatest thanks for the fabulous travels you personally provided for us three Haddons! I am truly so appreciative. For Linda it was every bit and piece, as it unfolded.*
See you very soon.

Our visit was a success [US Normandy D Day Tour, from Paris to Bayeux by train]. Nicole did an excellent tour and we saw and heard everything that we had hoped to. We were impressed with her knowledge and explanation of the actual facts. Also she is a most enjoyable person to be with and speak with. We would recommend Nicole to anyone for a tour. We appreciate all that you did to make this happen and wish you and Nicole a happy and healthy new year.

Hi Shahin –
I am sorry it has taken me several months to write and tell you once again how wonderful our two days we spent with you were in Paris and Versailles [Paris Overview Tour and Versailles Chateau and Park Tour]. Joelle (my now 13 year old daughter) can still be heard sharing bits of French history she learned from you during our trip and, I am happy to say she chose French as her language of study, thanks, in large part, to our very successful trip.
Shahin, you made our visit everything I wanted it to be for me and my daughter. I felt like we had a semester’s worth of history while we were there, and you delivered it in a way that was both enjoyable and able to be retained. I am already dreaming of my next visit to France and hope to introduce you to my husband and son, who would also benefit from your stories and tutelage.
Thank you again for instilling a love of France in Joelle and awakening that love in me. Have a happy, healthy new year and hopefully we’ll see you in 2010!

Greetings! Our amazing trip to France seems like just yesterday.* It is a highlight out of all of our travel experiences. I’m reliving it right now as I’m putting photo books together for all and am hoping you will share the name and location of the inn that your friend and husband ran in Normandy [Auberge du Terroir in Servon, Manche, run by Annie and Thierry Lefort]. I remember it as having an amazing setting and the best pommes frites for the kids–and me too. I’ve attached a picture just in case.
Best to you and your family!

We write to thank you so much for the superb tours which we took with you during our stay in Paris between 13 September and 20 September 2009.
The four days we spent with you flew by and left us wishing we had more time to spend with you enjoying your beautiful city. The Paris Overview Tour, tours of Giverny and Versailles, tours of the Louvre, Musee Rodin, Musee Orsay and Invalides were beautifully designed by you and provided us with a wealth of information and a level of understanding and appreciation of Paris which would have been impossible for us to achieve on our own in such a short period of time. We really appreciated the professionalism of your tours, and your ability to individually tailor those tours to our tastes, interests and pace.
Thanks to your superb tours, our recent visit to Paris was truly remarkable.
We were impressed by the incredible depth and breadth of your knowledge regarding all facets of each of our tours with you (including your in-depth knowledge of history, architecture, and art, as well as your selection of restaurants at which we stopped during our tours).
Additionally, we were particularly impressed by how hard you work to engage in intensive study and effort to update and expand your considerable knowledge. Indeed, we were delighted that you personally conducted our tours and imparted your knowledge to us so effectively, comprehensively, with charm, wit and humor.
In addition to enjoying the substance of the tours which you conducted, it was an incredible pleasure for us to be in your company. We look forward to staying in touch with you. In no small part because of you, we look forward to returning to France and seeing you in the near future.
As we wrote you on our last day with you: Thank you so much for making our visit to Paris so memorable. We enjoyed your knowledge, your humor and your company. We will remember our time with you always. We hope to see you again.
Best personal regards,
Pam and Grady Murdock

My note is to express our most sincere thanks for the wonderful one day tour to Sword Beach you arranged for us in August. Although it was a long day you made it all so interesting and we really appreciated the many thoughtful courtesies you extended to us, particularly to Joyce, Maureen and Danae.
Our highlights were our visit, then walk, on the beach so we could recall our memories of Joyce’s husband, Charles, and the visit to Bayeux. We were particularly fortunate that you were free that day to take and guide us.
Our sincere best wishes.

We are back home safely in Texas! I just wanted to tell you thank you so much for the amazing tours [Paris Overview Tour and Versailles Chateau and Park Tour], as my husband said we would not have been able to see so much of Paris in two weeks than we saw with you, and with the extensive history you gave us along the way. Your knowledge and love for Paris is really amazing and we learned so much about this incredible city. Thank you also for the excellent café you took us to and the other recommendations. This tour was especially accommodating and customized to our individual needs and desires, which certainly made for an enjoyable and pleasant trip. I will definitely recommend this tour to any of our friends/family who will be traveling to Paris and certainly would be happy to provide a recommendation should you need it. Thanks again for everything!!

Our family had a remarkable experience during our customized “In the Steps of Monet” tour this spring. We were very impressed with the knowledge you have about the artist and the areas we toured [pick-up in Paris, Giverny, Rouen, Honfleur, drop-off at Servon in Brittany for 5].
Right from the planning stage, you provided excellent customer information that was exceptional and beyond what we expected. Our emails were responded promptly, and you offered extensive knowledge about areas we wanted to visit. You recommended good restaurants and even made reservations for us even before we committed to book with PLT. Our emails, which went back and forth for over a month, were greatly appreciated and really helped in fine-tuning our trip.
We are particularly pleased with the the restaurant that you chose for us near Mont St. Michel. The restaurant is truly a hidden gem. Located inside a charming little country inn in the small village of Servon, Annie and Thierry (inn owners and chef) are both fantastic! Annie was very welcoming and Thierry whipped up some astonishingly good cuisine with fresh local ingredients for us. Thank you so much not just for recommending this fantastic little restaurant, but more importantly to ask Annie and Thierry to make an exception for us to receive us on a day that they don’t usually open. The food was superb and we were able to sample a whole range of appetizers, main courses as well as different desserts. After dinner, instead of calling a taxi for us to Mont St Michel to stay for the night, Thierry even drove us to the Mont himself! This was definitely a memorable and one of a kind dining experience (the food, the atmosphere and the hospitality) that stood out not just from this particular trip to France, but all our previous trips to France.
We left Paris promptly at 8:15 am and reached the restaurant at around 7:30 pm. It was a long day, but it would have been impossible to cover this much ground any other way. Our family love traveling and have used personalized touring company quite often. Your company far exceeded our expectations and I would recommend Paris Luxury Tours to anyone who is interested in a knowledgeable, personalized tour.

We enjoyed our six days in Normandy (Deauville, Three Allies D Day Tour, Bayeux, Mont St Michel, Avranches, Balleroy, Honfleur) together very much, thanks in great part to your deep knowledge of the area and your very congenial and pleasant personality. We know, from the many questions we asked about French history and culture, that your expertise extends over the entire land of France and its people and is not limited to one region.
We assure you that we will never hesitate to recommend you and Paris Luxury Tours to any of our friends who seek a great tour in France.

I feel that on our life’s journey we are tempered & changed by the people that we have met along the way. Meeting you and having the opportunity to get to know you, I have a better appreciation of how to enjoy & celebrate life. Your passion for wines & France is very evident to us. You instilled that love to each and every one of us. And for that we thank you. Please accept our open invitation that if you & your family are ever in the San Francisco area to let us know. We would like to act as your tour guide and take you to the places that we love. Just as you love Paris, we love San Francisco.
Shahin, you were truly the maestro in setting up our Burgundy [three day] wine tour. We started on a high note when we visited the Domaine Laroche in Chablis. I especially enjoyed seeing the historic wine press that is still operational. The wines poured by Séverine [Bresson] were fantastic. And seeing the vineyards from the hilltop was truly breathtaking. Visiting Dijon and strolling with the crowds in their town center was amazing. Then we finished off that night with a winemaker’s dinner at the Jardins des Remparts in Beaune that was one of the best meals I ever had. We were drinking 1999, 1992, 1990, & 1988 Meursault wines with each course of the meal. Each wine was beautifully complex. How can you top the first day? But you did. The second day we concentrated on wine tasting. Jean Luc Cortier at the Domaine Chanson is a gentleman. He is a gracious host and the perfect ambassador for wines. He was generous with his knowledge of wines & winemaking. We were pleased that you & Jean Luc accepted our offer of having a delicious lunch at Ma Cuisine with us. Driving through Meursault, I had a sense that the people lived a simple but happy life. The Domaine Michel Picard in Chassagne-Montrachet gave us an opportunity to not only enjoy wines from other Burgundy villages but Marie Florence [Grim], our hostess, went out of her way to patiently explain the wine labels of each of the wines that we were tasting. With nine wines to taste that was no small feat. The day ended with a fine meal at the Auberge du Cheval Noir, an up-and-coming restaurant. Each day’s experience built on the previous day until we reached the crescendo on the third day. Visiting the Hospices de Beaune Hotel-Dieu [Museum], I sensed the generosity of the French people in caring for the poor. This hospital was the model hospital facility of its day. And it did not charge the poor for their medical care. I was truly touched by the masterpiece “The Last Judgment” by Rogier van der Weyden on display there. I could have spent an hour just looking & understanding the meaning of the detailed murals. The Maison Champy gave us a memorable experience. Not only were we to taste fantastic wines, we tasted them and had a delightful lunch with cheese & dessert in a converted wine vat that was redone to accommodate dignitaries. We felt like we were treated as heads of state by Francis [Mairet]. The third day came to a resounding crescendo when we visited Vézelay. High on the hilltop we visited the Basilique Ste-Madeleine. The cathedral was impressive and majestic. It’s the largest Romanesque church in France.
So you can see how each day was topped by the next day’s events. Not only were we able to see & experience wines from different regions of Burgundy, with your extensive knowledge, we learned more than we can ever learn.
Our accommodation in Beaune at the Hostellerie Le Cedre was comfortable & relaxing. I especially enjoyed having cocktails in front of the blazing fireplace at the library room. I would recommend the charming and stately Le Cedre to anyone visiting & staying in Beaune.
Each time I think of our trip to the Burgundy wine region I will always remember your diligence in ensuring our maximum enjoyment of our trip. It was a truly memorable trip. I’m glad that you personally took the time to take us on this tour. Your choice of wineries, restaurants, & places of interest to visit was impeccable. I also believed that on this tour you were also a participant, tasting and learning along with the rest of us. I’m gratified that you also had a pleasant experience with us. I will recommend your tour group to all my friends whenever they want to have a truly unique experience of France.
On our last day in Paris, we were all able to go to the bar in Hotel Lutetia to take in the live jazz music and have cocktails there. The music presented by a vocalist accompanied by a drummer & a pianist was quite enjoyable. Thank you for your recommendation.
Thank you again. May you & your family be continually blessed.

Thank you so much for making our day with you such a pleasure. It was a fantastic history lesson on the Kings of France and a splendid way to see Versailles and Vaux le Vicomte. You even managed to get us some blue sky as well. We look forward to our next visit to France, and will certainly hope to engage your services again. It was like having a very knowledgeable friend showing us around.
Best wishes from the Connors and the Lachermeiers – including baby Logan.

We wanted to thank you immensely for organizing our visits to the Gosset and Bollinger champagne houses, especially as Bollinger do not normally permit members of the public to visit them so this made it even more special. [Classic Paris Luxury Tours Champagne Tour] Our hosts at both houses made us feel very welcome and were extremely knowledgeable – they were more than happy to answer all our questions thereby enabling us to learn a lot about their particular champagne. We have never seen so many bottles of champagne in one place (champagne heaven!!) and being able to sample some of them was a bonus. When we have a glass of champagne now it will always remind us of the fantastic day we had in Ay. Also, we would definitely recommend the bistro in Epernay you took us to for lunch as the food was excellent, reasonably priced and the atmosphere friendly.
As this trip was to celebrate my 50th birthday, I would like to thank you personally for making it such a special day as it would not have been possible without your assistance and contacts. I now have fond memories (and photos) of the day that will stay with me for a very long time.

Our clients were delighted with the services you provided for their 6 day tour of Brittany. They were very impressed with the professionalism and experience you showed to them and they especially enjoyed the intelligent conversations throughout. They would personally recommend them to anyone and would even love to use your services again if they need to visit some other areas of France in depth. I must mention that they are very experienced travelers and have already been to many parts of France. The service they received from your company far surpassed that of any other.

Normandy tour was excellent. [tour of US sector of Normandy Landing Beaches] Guide was knowledgeable – the owner, I think. His English was perfect…. He was easily contacted by phone upon our arrival….The best thing: he made sure we saw everything and was patient and accommodating at every site. He never rushed us and accompanied us to every monument and bunker (a lot of walking on a blustery day) to answer questions and make comments. We left Paris promptly at 7:00 a.m. expecting to return by 7:00 p.m. It was actually after 9:00 – making it a 14+ hour day – no extra charges.

Bob and I truly enjoyed our day in Normandy with Philippe [Normandy Landing Beaches Tour]. His expertise as a driver and guide certainly made our day extraordinarily memorable. Philippe’s knowledge of the area and the history, along with his engaging personality, enhanced a truly moving and emotional experience. There was a lovely restaurant that he wished us to experience which was unfortunately booked for a private party. Hopefully the next time we are in the area we will have that opportunity.
Bob and I will be back in Paris from 23 November through 27 November. I will check out your other itineraries to see if there may be another tour which we might enjoy on this upcoming trip.

We did have a wonderful time indeed…it was a pleasure to meet you. You were, as they say, as advertised and more…you are very knowledgeable and we were pleased with your tours. [Day tour of Canadian contribution to WWI, including Vimy Ridge, and a day tour of the Normandy Landing Beaches with accent on Canadian sector.] We felt that you went above and beyond the call of duty…it was a great two days….Thank you.

Now that we’re back at home, want to express, once again, our appreciation for a wonderful tour of Paris [Paris Overview Tour] and Chablis [Day tour from Paris of Chablis wines]. It added immeasurably to our total experience. Maybe we’ll see one another again in the future.

My husband, myself and our 2 year old daughter, recently embarked on a private tour of the Somme and Villers-Bretonneux with Paris Luxury Tours. Our emails back and forth with Shahin, leading up to the day of the tour, ensured that we wasted no time throughout the day and saw exactly the sights we wanted to see (as we are from Australia we had a special interest in visiting the Australian memorials, cemetery and Villers-Bretonneux, rather than the British and Canadian sights that most other tours offered).
We have no regrets in choosing Paris Luxury Tours as they were fantastic. They responded to all my emails on the same day, offered extensive knowledge on the area we wanted to visit before we had even made a commitment to booking with them and then worked with us via email for over a month to fine tune our perfect tour to ensure my husband got to visit all the war memorial sights he wanted to see, my 2 year old got her much needed breaks along the way to run around and I kept my sanity and actually got to relax and take in the French country side knowing that someone else was looking after us for the day (much like visiting friends or family in another country).
I have no hesitation in recommending Shahin and Paris Luxury Tours and I will definitely be booking with them again for another tour in Paris the next time we are over there. Shahin, we loved the tour and your extensive knowledge of the Somme area, we could not help but fall in love with Paris, due to the obvious love you have for your home and “the most beautiful city in the world” as you put it! We enjoyed your company through out the day, it was very easy and relaxing to tour with you and I know we speak for most Australians when we say, that is exactly what we we were looking for in our tour. THANK YOU!

Just a short thank you for the beautiful Normandy day trip [Charming Villages of Normandy Tour] you took us on during Bastille Day.
Maria and I greatly appreciated the opportunity to see the [Bray] countryside with the added bonus of being informed about a whole range of historic and cultural events that allowed us to fully appreciate the experience.
We also enjoyed lunch at the traditional French restaurant and eating at the other city restaurants [in Paris] that you recommended.

Once again, thank you for a wonderful trip. You asked for a comment on your firm and the itinerary [Six day custom tour of Normandy and Brittany]. Firstly, as you know, we have traveled extensively and have used private driver/guide individual tours in several countries, all of which we have enjoyed. This trip surpassed all the other experiences with the pleasant, responsive and professional service. Our emails allowed us to tailor the trip to exactly what we wanted. Our accommodation was superb, the only less than ideal hotel was the one we chose! The timing, pace, lunch arrangements, adaptability to weather, traffic and other changes were outstanding. We did, of course, have the extra bonus of your company.
We would strongly recommend your firm and will use it on any return trip to France.

How do we distill it all into a few sentences, our delight at the fabulous service you provided while we were in Paris last week [Paris Overview Tour, Paris Museums Tour, Versailles Chateau and Park Tour, and Paris Gastronomy Tour]. The fastest way I can think of is to say that on a scale of 1 to 10, your service was a 15!!!!!!! Our Paris Overview Tour was complete enough to give us, very quickly, the sense of Paris the “village” instead of a big bewildering city where we didn’t speak the language! The Museum tour was absolutely delightful and detailed enough to satisfy but not overwhelm. The patience in which you showed in our gourmet foods and everything else in between day was also outstanding!!! We shall definitely return again for another visit with you as soon as we can, and would most certainly recommend your company and services to one and all. THANK YOU very much for making a special trip to Paris even more memorable!
All the best,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful arrangements which you arranged for my-self and my partner, Gwen Walters and our friends Bernard and Yvonne McMahon for the tours of the wine regions in Champagne, Burgundy and Bordeaux in August 2007. Although we are all experienced international travellers we were all greatly impressed with the thoughtful preparation of the itineraries and the attention to detail appearing in those itineraries but also with your flexibility in dealing with our particular requirements both before and during the tours.
There are too many highlights of the tours of each region to identify them all. The visit to the cellars at Ruinart near Reims and the opportunity to stay at Le Cep in Beaune were very memorable. The opportunity to visit some of the wineries of Burgundy (especially Clos de Vougeot and Chateau de Pommard) and the wonderful restaurants which you suggested, was greatly appreciated. We all particularly enjoyed the opportunity to visit the town of the Chablis and the winery of William Fevre where we had a wonderful and entertaining individual wine tasting followed by a great lunch at the adjoining restaurant.
Our tour to Bordeaux was equally as impressive and the train journeys to and from Paris were very well organised and trouble free. The variety of the countryside in the Bordeaux region is wonderful and the lunch in Pauillac on the river was special. The Chateau Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is a unique experience as was in the case with Chateau Leoville [Las Cases] at St Julien where we received individual attention from an enthusiastic staff assisted by your translation skills.
We would have no hesitation in recommending the services of Paris Luxury Wine Tours to anyone who have not done so. In particular, we wish to thank you for your personal contribution and your ability to impart your great knowledge of France and the regions we have visited, but also generally for your excellent company on our tours.
We look forward to arranging another tour with you in France.

Diane and I loved our day with you in the Loire Valley [Loire Valley Wines Day Tour]. A great highlight of our visit! Nothing but spectacular reception from each, and great information and learning. Both wineries [Henri Bourgeois in Chavignol and Ladoucette at the Chateau de Nozet in St. Andelain] were unique in their own ways….. Warm regards,

Patrick and I are home this morning and reflecting on our time in Paris, and definitely consider the day in the Champagne region a highlight [Classic Paris Luxury Tour of Champagne]. The tour from start to end was extraordinary. We learned so much about champagne, and the history and science that goes into making the perfect glass.
Your warmth and ease was so delightful to be with. Your planning and knowledge was more than expected and so appreciated. Patrick and I will in the years to come treasure such good memories of the beautiful [Champagne] region and drink champagne (Bollinger, of course), with a new sense of knowledge and wisdom.
Looking forward to a future tour, and spending the day learning about Napoleon’s Paris. The boys and you can spend the day together, and I will meet your wife and learn the shopping in Paris!
December 1, 2007
France seems eons away now – but we really did enjoy our trip with you to the Champagne district [Classic Paris Luxury Tour of Champagne].
On the Friday we did a tour with “Cityrama,” I think they were called, 40 or so on a bus – information given in Russian and rather broken English!!! and it made us realise just how fortunate we were to have had our experience with you.
One could not compare the price of the two tours, but one could not compare the quality of the tour offered either. No doubt your company offers “top of the range” tours (as the name suggests) price-wise and quality-wise, but my family and I agreed the trip you gave us was well worth the money.
I do hope all those strikes we are hearing about, in France, have settled down and this email finds you well,
With Christmas wishes and regards from Scott, Trudy, Henry and myself,

Renee and I want to thank you profusely for planning and executing the highlight of our first and only visit to France. I refer, of course, to the helicopter trip from Paris to Mont Saint Michel to the Normandy beaches and back to Paris [Combined day tour from Paris by helicopter of Mont Saint Michel and US sector of Normandy Landing Beaches]. It would have been impossible to cover this much ground any other way.
We are extremely appreciative of the meticulous planning for car and driver to meet us at each location as well as your most informative and fascinating narratives as we flew over countrysides, toured the Mont and the historical battle areas. As a veteran of World War II Pacific arena, I was profoundly impressed with the reminders of the sacrifices made by so many for the benefit of our two countries. I was unaware of the donation by the French government of the cemetery site on which over 9000 of my fallen comrades are buried ON AMERICAN SOIL; what a meaningful gesture!
Our three-week trip to France was a ‘trip of a lifetime’ for us. A wonderful 10 days in Paris. A fascinating tour of the Alsace area from which my grand parents came. Without question, the trip would have been much less spectacular were it not for your most professional aid. We appreciated also your help with our room in Paris when we in a quandary on two separate occasions. That help was truly above and beyond the call of duty.
We wish you and your Berkeley Bear wife the very best….

I wanted to let you know what a wonderful time I had on our tours in Paris, Versailles and Normandy with both you and Philippe. [Paris Overview Tour, Versailles Chateau and Park Tour, and Normandy Landing Beaches Tour] Philippe was a wonderful guide in both Versailles and Normandy. His passion for Normandy really showed. We thought that you couldn’t have picked a better person for us. Shahin your guide on the overview was over the top grand. I would recommend you to anyone. My only regret was that we didn’t have enough time in Paris to get to all the places you pointed out to us.
Health and happiness to you and Philippe for your kindness.
October 21, 2007
Nicola, Lela and I thank you for taking us around Paris for four whole days [Versailles Chateau and Park Tour, Paris Gastronomy Tour, Paris Overview Tour and Chantilly Tour]. We had a great time. Nicola and Lela keep telling their friends how good the Gastronomy Tour was and what they have eaten. All Lela’s friends asked for your name and pledged to engage your service when they come to Paris. I learned much from your insight about the history and culture of France and the various establishments. You did an excellent job.
Thank you so much in making us trip so wonderful. Hopefully we will see each other very soon.
October 8, 2007
We have come home safe and sound and I am glad to write a testimonial on what a great time we had with both you and Philippe. We all thought that you couldn’t have picked a better person to take us on our tours, especially Normandy, than Philippe. We had a great time. When you have to spend all day with people, it is wonderful to have someone that is easy to get along with. We were amazed at his knowledge of the events in Normandy. You can rest assured that Philippe was a great choice and I am recommending you, Philippe and your company to anyone interested in a private tour.
Once again, thank you for 3 great days in France [Paris Overview Tour, Versailles Chateau and Park Tour, and Normandy Landing Beaches Tour] that none of us are going to forget. Our trip was all we wanted it to be because of you and your people.
September 19, 2007
Carol and I wanted to thank you for the two exclusive tours you gave us [Baron Haussmann’s Paris Tour and Impressionist Art in Paris & the Ile de France] while we were visiting Paris this September. The tour of Haussmann’s Paris and the tour of the country locations of the Impressionists were both excellent.
We were impressed by your knowledge of the subjects and appreciated the background history and related information. You clearly did a lot of work to prepare, and this made the tours so much more informative and enjoyable.
It’s clear that your company serves those of us who are looking for something more than the usual tour of the main sights and attractions. In Paris and the surrounding country-side there’s so much more to explore, that relate to our personal interests. You served this need very well, perhaps uniquely, and I would recommend your company to anyone who wants to explore and learn more about the history of France and its people.

We just returned home last night…
We wanted to thank you for starting out our trip on an extremely high note. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you, learned a lot and in particular appreciated how you were able to keep the kids so well engaged.
We will certainly pass your name along to friends who are going to Paris.
Thanks again making this a wonderful trip.

Over the past week we found ourselves referring repeatedly to our time spent with you. [Paris Overview Tour and Versailles Chateau and Park Tour].
Of course Paris is a glorious city, and you really know how to make it come alive through stories. But for us the biggest treat was meeting you and having time together.
You truly enriched our lives for those few days by filling our memories with your kindly spirit.
My initial reactions hold.
We are lucky, very lucky.
19 July 2007
We both want to thank you for the wonderful time you showed us. We could not have seen or experienced Paris without your historic knowledge and command of the language. Not only do you take us to all the usual places that everyone must visit in order to “see” Paris, but, when I threw you a curve ball by coming up with a cafe that I had read about in a Travel and Leisure magazine, you knew exactly what cafe I had read about and worked a visit into our itinerary. You were a wonderful host and we both came away with a great love of Paris. Thanks again for such a wonderful view of Paris.

Finally, I have a chance to write you and thank you for providing us with a wonderful vacation [One week of tours: Paris Overview Tour, Tour of Versailles Chateau and Park, Tour of Paris Gardens, Paris Museums Tour and Day Tour of Loire Valley Chateaux]. We had a great time and you were a wonderful guide and driver….. our photos turned out great and we can look upon this trip as one of great memories.
I hope this email finds you well and that you are busy, busy, busy. We are getting ready to head for Hawaii in two weeks. We plan a 17 day trip to the Big Island. Again thank you for everything. You gave us a view of Paris that we would have definitely missed without you. Should you ever need a reference, please let me know.

While I was planning my trip to France I knew that I wanted to see the D-Day beaches as well as Mont St. Michel. I looked at what seemed like everywhere on the internet and found only one company willing to provide this tour. All of the other companies I contacted said that the tour was not possible.
When I contacted Paris Luxury Tours, I was told that it was feasible and that whatever itinerary I could come up with, they would try to make it work. Our tour guide met us at our hotel at the time we had agreed upon. We were able to see everything that we wanted to see at the D-Day beaches as well as Mont St Michel.
It was a long day, but our guide made the day seem short. We had lunch at a very good local restaurant in the French countryside. It was a wonderful experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited. He was also very knowledgeable about pretty much everything else we threw at him: culture, history, wine, food, flowers, it didn’t matter—our guide was able to answer all of our questions. He grew up in the US, and I think that helped him to compare and contrast the French culture to our own. Things seem to make more sense when you can relate it to something.
Honestly, I was a little nervous about what I would get with this tour, but now that it has taken place, I don’t think that I could have planned a better tour. It far exceeded my expectations and I would recommend Paris Luxury Tours to anyone that is interested in a knowledgeable, personalized tour.

I am the owner of a fine wine store in Sydney, Australia, and am very experienced in the wine industry. I have done several wine tours and have seen many wine regions around the world.
Out of all my experiences the tour [Classic Paris Luxury Tour of Champagne] with Paris Luxury Tours with Shahin as our guide was by far the most memorable and exciting tour I have ever done.
My girlfriend did not have the same passion as me about wine before we went but she loved the tour just as much. All our visits were fantastic and the restaurant we had lunch at was exquisite [Les Vieux Puits in Ay].
Shahin’s knowledge and contacts in the area are second to none, his passion for wine really does rub off on you!
Highly recommended to all wine lovers and travelers alike.

Remember me? You took my 80 year old friend, Harriet, and I from Paris/Monparnasse to Vezelay last October, along with a visit to the Abbaye de Fontenay. You delivered us to Vezelay to our hotel so promptly that evening.
I write to tell you a very big HEARTFELT THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Both Harriet and I had an amazingly lovely time with you, and found your service (Paris Luxury Tours) to be impeccable and everything we could possibly have wanted and more. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!. Harriet still to this day talks about her wonderful new-found Iranian friend and the explorations we took and the countryside we saw, and that meal we ate!!!. She (and I) had so much fun and learned so much and we both just thoroughly enjoyed spending time with you.
In any case, please accept my most heartfelt THANK YOU for such an incredible service. You and your company are amazing. I know you will go very far. And, if you ever want to use me as a personal reference, please feel free to do so. I would be most honored to do so. My address and phone number are below, and you have my email.
Finally…if you and your wife/family are ever in Seattle….please feel free to call/look me up. While we live rather modestly, we love to show people Seattle and we’d be honored to have you be our guests in the City, even if just for a meal! I know my husband, John, would enjoy your company very much. He was so happy that both Harriet and I were so extraordinarily taken care of.
I hope this find life treating you well, Shahin. It was indeed a pleasure and a privilege to have met you, and have you provide such excellent travel services to us. Next time I come to Paris…I’ll be sure to call!

I just wanted to take the time to thank you so very much for the two lovely days my daughter and I had with you [Paris Overview and Versailles Tours].
Picking us up at the Eurostar and dropping off our luggage and then [having] the informative Paris tour was a great way to start the holiday. It was amazing: all the little ‘secrets’ of Paris that you shared. Not to put that lightly, but it was amazing how you can maneuver around Paris and find great stopping points to park and get around. So many sights to remember and notably, Notre Dame was so, so beautiful.
The following day to be picked up at the hotel and take the beautiful tour of Versailles was a lifetime ‘moment’ for me. Even with the crowds there, it seemed so much more personal with you. The tour was outstanding and the gardens and the other chateaux were breathtaking. Not to mention the delicious lunch.
Shahin, it will long be remembered and we most certainly will contact you on our next trip.
With warm regards,

Thank you for all your help while we were in Paris. You truly made our trip perfect! Your insight, expertise, and care made this trip the most enjoyable one we have ever taken. Thank you for picking us up at the airport, giving us a grand tour of Paris, translating the tour at the Sorbonne, taking Ralph to Normandy [US Normandy Landing Beaches], and both of us to Versailles. I can honestly admit that after being to Versailles five times, your personalized tour was the best.
When looking back on our trip to Paris, we will always fondly remember how special you made it. I cannot imagine ever returning to France without scheduling tours with you. Thank you again for everything.

I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had during our Burgundy [three day] wine tour. It was definitely the highlight of our entire vacation. The service you provided to us was exceptional. Also, we feel as though we have made a friend. You are a very kind man and we hope to be able to hire you again in the future. The hotels you selected for us were absolutely perfect and the restaurants were exquisite. You opened our eyes to a side of French cuisine that we have never experienced. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you for everything and hopefully we will see each other again in the near future.

I want to thank you very much for the wonderful day we had in Paris with you [combined Paris Overview and Romantic Paris Tour]. The tour to Rouen and Honfleur with Frederick was fantastic as well. Frederick was really nice, helpful and kind with us. We enjoyed very much the trip, in spite of the weather. We are already looking forward in taking our next tour in Paris with you. My family sends you best regards and again thanks very much for everything you did.

I don’t know if you remember us but you took us on a day tour [Paris Chronological Tour] with my mother and sisters in Sept 05. We had a great time and would love to repeat this experience with friends. They would like to do the Chronological Tour of Paris with us, which means we will be 4 of us for the whole day….

We traveled with Paris Luxury Tours in October 2006. For all who may read these comments, please do take care to have sufficient time to properly plan your tour/holiday in France, especially a specialized tour (wine country) as selected by us. If you do not have the time, then you certainly have selected the right touring planner. Shahin was our guide but he is more than just a tour guide—he is a tour guru, a tour miracle worker, and a few other positive adjectives we can throw out. With just 9 days to communicate, plan, revise, and revise yet again, Shahin enabled us to enjoy almost 5 days of a private guided tour of the Champagne region and Chablis [and other parts in Burgundy], prior to our return to Paris. (And, Shahin was more than patient in dealing with this limited time frame, as I had just been cleared to travel after spinal surgery several months earlier).
This clearly demonstrated that Paris Luxury Tours had not only the contacts to arrange certain vineyard tours, but also the skill and knowledge in cobbling the pieces of this trip together for us. I say this, because the tour/holiday included his planning chateaux and evening dining reservations at the highest rated Michelin facilities, touring of quaint towns and others of historical and cultural significance, adding an array and depth to the daily events during our limited time with him.
And, much to our surprise (and pleasure), every day started early, all stops were timely and as complete as represented to us by the detailed itinerary which was sent via email as the pre-holiday plans evolved. We cannot recommend highly enough, to anyone who may read these comments, the services rendered and level of professionalism displayed by Shahin. Certainly, any future tour/holiday we plan in France (especially wine tours) will start and conclude with Paris Luxury Tours.

I often recall with pleasure the tour to Chartes and Giverny [Combined day tour of Chartres and Giverny performed in September, 2005]. I have much to be thankful for, not the least of which is to have the pleasure of acquaintances such as you.

I strongly concur in everything Pat Rink wrote in her recent email to you. We were very pleased that you were able to conduct our visit to the Alsace region of France [Four day tour of Alsace and Champagne]. Your proposed itinerary was excellent and the changes we made together once we began our individually tailored tour were perfectly suited to our interests. Thank you for being attentive to our wishes and flexible in the execution of the very well planned itinerary. We three sisters hope to have an opportunity to visit France again in two years. Again, thank you for the very excellent service provided by Paris Luxury Tours.

We have only been home a few days, but we are already talking about our next trip to France. Nancy, Ellen and I had a wonderful time. Paris is always a joy, and now, thanks to you, we have discovered the beauty and delights of Alsace and Champagne. I don’t think we could single out one favorite place – we enjoyed Colmar, Riquewihr, Strasbourg, Reims, and Epernay. The tours and tastings at Hugel and Ruinart were, of course, highlights. We were very happy with your hotel and restaurant selections. Although we didn’t make it to all the sights on the original itinerary, that wasn’t a problem for us. As you probably gathered fairly early in our four days together, we are not manic sightseers. We appreciated your flexibility and ability to meet our particular interests as our visit progressed. Thank you.
We were tired Sunday evening when we returned to Paris, but it was too beautiful to stay in. We walked to Deux Magots for a light dinner and enjoyed a bottle of the Claude Daguenau Pouilly Fume you recommended as we watched the full moon rise over the tower of St.-Germain-des-Pres. The wine was excellent. (The waiter told us it was a good choice when we ordered it.)
We loved our week in France, especially our visit to Alsace. We send our best wishes for the continued success of Paris Luxury Tours.

[Regarding] the day that we spent with you [custom tour of Giverny, the US Normandy Landing Beaches and Honfleur]… it was a thoroughly marvelous trip and exceeded our expectations on all levels. We wanted a private tour with a guide who knew the locality and the history of what we were going to see, so we could appreciate it to the fullest extent. You satisfied both of those objectives 110%. We were particularly pleased that English is your native language, so communications was easy and we were able to get the most of the information that you provided.
The tour that you put together was timed accurately, so we were able to see all that we wanted, and we never felt rushed. I had relied upon your expertise to gauge how long each site would hold our attention, plus the travel time between each area. This worked out completely, so we were able to fully take in each of the sites that we visited, and still got back to the hotel at the time we had expected. Your suggestions for restaurants also suited our taste for food and ambience.
Different people value different things, but I think no matter how you score value or enjoyment, your trip with us received an A+. Take care and thanks for a wonderful day.

It’s Wednesday morning here and we are still recovering from jet lag. First of all, I want to tell you how much we enjoyed seeing Paris with you… we saw the best of Paris with you! We will always remember our time with you and consider you more than a guide for the short time we spent together. Now we have a friend in Paris!
Thank you again.

Just a short note to express my appreciation for your excellent tour of the architecture and historical sites of Paris. Your knowledge of the city and its buildings was superb, and the interesting anecdotes made their history come alive. Both Lauren and I commented after the visit how fast the day went and the ease with which you presented your city to us. We would also like to thank you for arranging for our “short” notice tour of Versailles [requested and arranged the day before it was performed]. Without your assistance our visit there would not have been so comprehensive and enjoyable. I would highly recommend you and your organization to anyone touring the area. Once again thank you..

Mary Ellen and I wanted to thank you again for the two super tours you provided during our visit to Paris [Mont Saint Michel and Chartres, and a full day tour of Versailles]. The trips were first class and were highlights of our visit! We felt well taken care of, and accomplished our purposes in each trip. The croissants on the early morning trip to Mont St. Michel were a nice touch and the lunches [at “Potager du Roy” in Versailles and “Le Grand Cerf” in Ernée] were extraordinary….Thanks again….you’ll see us again on our next visit to Paris.

My husband Frank and I can’t thank you enough for making our trip to Paris an unbelievable experience. We were in Paris for a full week and that one day that we did our tour of Champagne with you was our best day by far. The day started off stress-free with a chauffeured ride to visit the Champagne country. We loved not having to worry about where to go or how to get there. The door to door service was well worth it and helped to make the day relaxing.
The drive to Champagne was and hour and a half long but felt like it went by so quickly. The conversation was great. Once arriving in Reims, seeing the Gothic cathedral was an incredible introduction to the country. Frank and I really enjoyed hearing about the history behind the cathedral and the town itself.
Upon arriving at “Ruinart” [the oldest Champagne house in Reims], we were automatically greeted with a woman who was extremely friendly and very professional at the same time. We enjoyed her passion for Champagne and the knowledge that she gave us. What we experienced that day was something that we would have never gotten to experience here in America. Learning the complete production of how Champagne is made, learning the history behind the underground caves, and having such a wisdom-filled tour guide was superb. We especially liked the personal attention of a private tour rather than being in a large group where it becomes impersonal. Tasting all the various types of Champagne at the end of the tour was a delightful ending to our journey.
Our lunch [in Reims at the Brasserie Boulingrin] was not only a nice break, but you also gave us a ton of information about French culture. That alone helped us out for the rest of our trip in France.
When we arrived at “Bollinger” we enjoyed the different type of tour. We got to see where Champagne begins its journey through the vineyard itself. We pretty much got to see the process from beginning to end. Here again, we enjoyed that our tour guide had such an extreme passion for Champagne.
Overall, we can’t thank you enough for such an amazing day in Champagne country. We are definitely going to refer you to tons of our friends here in the U.S. We now feel that we have a great friend in Paris. Keep up the great service and we hope to come back to Paris to enjoy a wine tour!
All the best,

We would like to thank you for all your kindness and determination to make our experience in the wine region of Bordeaux [one week tour of Margaux, St. Julien, Pauillac, St. Estephe, Pomerol, St. Emilion, Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux, Barsac, Sauternes and Graves] and Champagne [day tour from Paris] unique and unforgettable. Those seven days were amazing. Thank you for the excellent program, the elegant restaurants and above all, thank you for the polite and kind manner which you treated me and my family.

We arrived home safe and sound after a wonderful week in Paris–the highlight of which was our day with you [Paris Fashion Tour]. I cannot thank you enough for all the effort you made into making Stephanie’s birthday such a success. From the wrapped Chanel DVD, the amazing behind the scenes tours at Scherrer and Dior, a lovely lunch at L’Avenue, and your knowledge of all the sites I could not have asked for a more delightful day. It will be a memory she has for years to come!!!

I can not thank you enough for the amazing tour and time you spent with us on Friday. You truly helped make a dream for me come true, showing my parents the Paris I love! [Paris Overview Tour] I know we may not have been the most “history” focused bunch, but the little anecdotes we do remember and the places you took us to will forever bring a smile to my face as I think about what you “gave” me and my family.
I appreciate your patience with us and opening my eyes to a new side of Paris I hadn’t seen before.

Tonight we close the business for the Christmas-New Year holidays and finally have time for some 2005 reflections… Fortunately we seem to be able to recall most of the extensive information you imparted [in October], and your knowledge has provided us with a sense of history and culture which we could never have achieved on our own; and for that we are truly grateful. We enjoyed your company very much Shahin, your trips [Paris Overview, Champagne wine tour and Loire Valley Chateaux] were a delight and as a guide you are held in the highest esteem. We hope to meet you again.
With best wishes for 2006 and kindest regards,

We and the Morts made it back safe and sound to our home in Modesto after a FABULOUS week exploring the ins and outs of Paris. We wined…we dined…and we got a history lesson besides. Our two days spent with you were by far the most enjoyable and thought-provoking. Both Normandy and Versailles [day tour of the US Normandy Landing Beaches and another of the Vaux le Vicomte and Versailles Chateaux] were highlights of our week and anything less than the services and commentary you provided would have been a tragedy. Once again, Shahin, thanks for your professionalism, your promptness and your attention to details. We wouldn’t hesitate using or recommending your services again in the future. Good luck.

I just wanted to thank you for guiding us through Alsace [eight day custom tour of Alsace and Champagne in September, 2005, for six, including 1 day in Germany’s Black Forest, 2 in the Alsatian Wine Route, 1 in Colmar, 1 in Mulhouse, 1 in the Route des Cretes, 1 in Champagne and another in Chantilly and Giverny]. Your driving was tops and your arrangements, advice, and pleasant company helped us make the most of our trip. The wine tastings at Bollinger, Domaine Weinbach, and Hugel were particular highlights. I think I can speak for all 6 of us when I say we had an altogether wonderful time!

During a recent trip to Europe, my aunt and I had the pleasure of spending a day in Paris with Shahin Akhavi [for a PLT Paris Overview Tour]. I didn’t think we could see Paris in a day, but thanks to Shahin, we did. He picked us up at the train station and off we went to explore the many beautiful buildings and sites in Paris. Shahin was so knowledgeable and interesting. He made our trip so enjoyable. We would highly recommend Paris Luxury Tours to anyone traveling to France.

We would like to say thank you very much for our beautiful tour of the Champagne region of France. We knew from the moment that we started communicating with you through email that you were the right choice for our tour. Your attention to making sure that every detail of our trip was just as we wanted it was wonderful.
We had a truly beautiful day with no worries. We look forward to planning our next trip to France with your help.

We [five sisters] have had such happy memories thinking of our wonderful day in Paris. I have been to Paris twice before, but I have never seen so much or enjoyed my time in Paris as [much as] I did with your guidance [modified Paris Overview Tour]. We all felt the same way…. We had a marvelous time in Paris and would highly recommend your business to anyone! It is the only way to do Paris in a day! Thanks again.

Our first trip to Paris began with our ‘Paris Tour, Chronologically,’ a day tour that included the history of Paris. There was no better way to begin our vacation. Seeing all of the sights, getting a feel for the city, and helping us decide how we wanted to spend our [remaining] time were only some of the wonderful parts of our tour.
From the moment you picked us up, we felt so comfortable with you—and in our beautiful car! Your knowledge of Paris was astounding!! We were able to relate to much of what you shared with us, and all throughout the rest of our stay, we felt like we actually knew about the city, its history and its ghosts.
I know we would not have been able to find the Roman Arena: what an experience to stand where the ancient Romans once stood. Or the [15th C.] houses that started out narrow [at street level] and got wide [as they rise], to gain more living space.
Our lunch stop was superb, not just the food, but the ambiance, your company, and the wonderful feeling of relaxation. You showed us more then we had expected and gave us many memories to take home and share.
We also asked you for a recommendation for a restaurant, and you took the time and energy to locate one that perfectly fit our criteria [Gérard Besson], and that evening proved to be one of the highlights of our trip.
Thank you seems too little to say, but I will say it – Thank you!

PS you were so accommodating, as we had waited until the last week to set up our tour. Your professionalism and personal attention were greatly appreciated.

Can we really do Paris in a day? YES!
[We] had arranged a private guided [Paris Overview] tour via Paris Luxury Tours and had been in contact with… Shahin Akhavi… [who has] lived in New York and [was] educated at Brown and very easy to understand. He has lived in Paris for [well over]15 years, and has a great love for history and art. The Mercedes Benz van was very roomy and cool. It was a warm day in Paris, and air conditioning [was] a welcome relief between visiting the sites of this beautiful city! Shahin was very knowledgeable and helped expedite our tight schedule by dropping us off in the front of the places we had chosen to visit and then he went to park the car and find us, or waited for us, so we were able to do and see more than if we were on a normal guided tour. It was expensive, but we decided well worth the money when we realized how convenient it was and how much we really were able to see of Paris in one day. He had also purchased our museum tickets ahead of time, which saved us even more time.

I spoke with my client, Marilyn, and she had nothing but praise for their day with you [Custom Impressionism Tour comprised of Auvers-sur-Oise, Giverny and Rouen]. She said she would not have change a thing! I’d say that is high praise indeed…. Thank you for providing a wonderful experience for my clients.

Mom, Tina, and I just want to let you know how much Paris Luxury Tours and you as our guide and friend made the trip to Paris everything we dreamed about. We have talked since our return how we are still thinking about all the wonderful things we experienced because of your expertise and knowledge.
I have traveled to Europe before on cruises and tour groups. I’ll never do that again because of you and Paris Luxury Tours: the difference between having a personal guide and tour groups is night and day.
Thanks again for giving us a most extraordinary adventure in France. I strongly concur in everything Pat Rink wrote in her re

Paris Luxury Tours provided a phenomenal experience on our visit to France. The service [for tours of Mont Saint Michel, Chartres, Giverny and Versailles] could not have been better. Our guide was always punctual and treated us with the utmost respect. His knowledge of the historical significance of the locations we visited enabled us to have a much deeper appreciation for the sights we were seeing.
In addition, special requests for side trips and stops along the way were always honored. One of the major factors for our choosing Paris Luxury Tours was that our vacation time was limited, and no other tour enabled us to accomplish all that we wanted in a manner that was as efficient, yet still relaxed.
Most important, an intimate, personalized tour makes the trip more of a true cultural experience. The ability to blend into the culture, gain some understanding of life in a foreign land with such a rich history, and visit local sights and restaurants [that are] ignored by larger tour operators truly made for an unforgettable experience.
Without question, [this was] one [experience] that we will never forget. In addition to highly recommending your services to others, we will undoubtedly contact Paris Luxury Tours when our plans include a return to France. Once again, thank you for all you have done.

We had the pleasure of spending the day with Shahin in the Champagne country. He organized a first-rate day for us, with many personalized and special features that we would never have been able to experience on our own [visit at Bollinger]. Shahin himself is very competent, knowledgable, and very pleasant. We were well satisfied with our experience and definitely recommend his services.

My wife and I have recently returned from our first trip to Paris. When asked by friends and co-workers ‘how it was,’ we both respond a positive and energetic “WONDERFUL!”, and give much of that credit to Shahin and Paris Luxury Tours. Having never visited the city, and knowing little about it, it’s history, what to see, or even where to begin – I contacted Shahin via e-mail to arrange our trip. Though at the last minute (I wrote him one week before we arrived, during a time when most of France was on vacation), he was able to construct a personalized program for us based on what WE wanted to do and see that that allowed us to have 1) a complete overview and introduction to the city, 2) a first-hand and personal introduction to the Champagne region of France, 3) a guided tour and historic lesson on several of the most important Cathedrals in and around Paris [Amiens, Beauvais and St. Denis].
Shahin was amazing from the first moment. He met us at the airport promptly and guided us through the maze of other travelers to our waiting car. He then whisked us off to our tour, expertly guiding us each step of the way. He was knowledgeable and gave us detailed history about all that we saw. If we inquired about something or some place, he researched it for us immediately. We could ask as many questions as we wanted without feeling “stupid” and could stop for further discussion/photo opportunities as we liked. He was kind, accommodating and just plain wonderful to be with. We could never have discovered Paris to the depth we did without our own personal “expert” by our side and will use him again on all of our successive returns.

We truly enjoyed our trip with Paris Luxury Tours to Normandy. The itinerary you suggested was perfect for our family’s needs since we were able to see both US landing beaches, the cemetery at Colville and the various monuments. We had a full day but did not feel rushed at any of our stops. You were the perfect tour guide, you answered our questions, provided us lots of information on Normandy and French culture, but you were not intrusive when we wanted time to reflect on the places we were visiting. We especially enjoyed your lunch recommendation, everything was delicious and it was great to experience a different regional cuisine in Normandy from what we were having in Paris. We are still talking about the Normandy butter and the fabulous apple tart. The best part of having you as our guide was knowing you have experienced both American and French culture. You could easily relate to us as Americans, but because you have lived in France for so many years you have a wealth of knowledge about France. Please feel free to use us for a reference at anytime and give out our e-mail or telephone number to prospective clients.

I wanted to thank you again for the tour of the Normandy landing beaches. As a military historian and student of the Normandy campaign for over 25 years, it was fantastic that we were able to leave from Paris and see all of the sites on my wish list all in one day. It was perfect! As a guide you were both knowledgeable and entertaining. I know my wife enjoyed your company very much as well. Given we only had one day we could allow for a trip to Normandy, I cant thank you enough for making it a trip I’ll never forget! We’ll call you when we get back to Paris.

All three of us had a wonderful experience last week!
The cost was easily justified because, to see the things that you showed us [in one day], we would have been required to spend at least three additional days in Paris. The stress of getting around in Paris was removed and the anecdotes and history that you provided were icing on the cake!
All three of us would highly suggest using your tour for any visitors: in particular on the first day of a week long visit. I think we all liked most the historical trivia you shared with us as we saw the sights. Like the man [Violet le Duc] turning around [on the roof] at Notre Dame!
I will forward a picture or two in a couple of days.
Thanks again for a great day.

As you are aware, my recent visit to Paris, was a surprise Valentine’s gift from my boyfriend, Douglas Calder. I feel I must write to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the incredible attention to detail, you personally paid, whilst arranging this for us.
From the moment our driver collected us from our London Hotel and escorted us to Heathrow, for the first leg of our journey by helicopter to Farnborough, I honestly felt as if I was dreaming. Our private jet to Paris, five day stay at the incredible Paris Ritz, evening of entertainment at the world famous Moulin Rouge and informative tour of the historical sights with our exceptional tour guide, made this trip truly, ‘the holiday of a lifetime.’ I must also say that I did feel like a bit of a celebrity, being chauffeur driven in our very luxurious, top of the range Mercedes. Words cannot desribe what this trip meant to me.
As you can probably guess, I have received an abundance of ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ from family and friends alike who have seen our photographs and I have pleasure in informing you that we have already passed your contact details on to quite a few very good friends, who would love a similar experience. Paris now holds a very special place in my heart!
Thank you so much for making my dream come true.

Russ and I want to thank you so much for your guidance in making our first visit to Paris a most enjoyable and memorable one.
You were so kind and patient, and paved the way for us to truly fall in love with France. You are a wonderful, experienced and knowledgeable guide and a wonderful man.
It has been an exceptional pleasure spending time with you.

We hired Paris Luxury Tours for our last trip to Paris. We were taking our niece as her high school graduation gift. My husband and I have been to Paris many times but thought that using a guide might make the trip more interesting for our niece.
What a great decision!! Shahin Akhavi was our tour guide and he was just marvelous. He really brought Paris alive for us. He organized the tour in a way that helped us understand the development of the city from ancient times through modern. It was a perspective that we would not have had otherwise and was fascinating.
Shahin is exceptionally knowledgeable and showed us parts of Paris that we had never seen before. He made the whole experience fun and informative.
He helped us with everything from reservations to medications.
We would highly recommend Paris Luxury Tours and look forward to using them again on our next trip to France.
